It's too perfect! That picture is the ideal response to any sentence. EVER.

I have a character idea. I'm just deciding whether this RPG has enough of a pulse to warrant it.

From The Pages Of... RPG APPLICATION

Screen Name: Eddie Brock

Character you'd like to portray: Cole MacGrath

Superhuman powers, traits, other attributes of interest: Cole is an electrokinetic. His body is capable of absorbing and storing electricity. In addition to being able to discharge this energy through a multitude of attacks, this also stimulates his muscle tissue - vastly increasing his body's ability to repair damage. It also grants him greater endurance than the average human. The electricity in his body also gives him a sort of magnetism.

Originally appearing from (which comic, and company?): InFAMOUS prequel comics; I honestly have no idea. I don't think they were affiliated with a comic company.

Fictional history of the character (as you're going to interpret it): Cole McGrath was just an ordinary bike messenger. Well, that's not entirely true. He also liked to dabble in parkour, the art of urban freerunning. He had something of an exploratory nature, leading to an exceptional knowledge of Empire City's geography. He had his best friend, Zeke Dunbar, and his girlfriend, Trish Dailey. Everything was going well.

One day, Cole was ordered to deliver a package. Nothing unusual. He arrives to the location but doesn't find a customer. He receives a phone call telling him to open the package. A sphere-like device activates, causing an explosion which tears through six city blocks. It kills everyone in the area.

Everyone except Cole.

Hero, Villain, or Walking the line?: As I'm going to interpret him, Hero.

List a few reasons why you chose this character: I loved the game inFAMOUS. The interactions between Cole, Zeke, and Trish are some of the most interesting for a main cast. Cole's struggle to deal with his powers - and how he wants to use them - is an excellent ongoing story. And, as anyone who has beaten the game knows, there's more than meets the eye in Empire City.

Write two complete sentences explaining what you can bring to this RPG: On top of dedication and reliability? Nachos con queso.

How many days a week you intend on posting in the RPG: As many to get the job done.

Please provide a small sample post as your character, at least three paragraphs and one line of dialogue in length:

I scowl as I pull my bike to a stop in the middle of the road. There's no one here. Man, I get so many prank calls every week. It's really annoying. I put down my kickstand and lean against my bike. "Unbelievable," I mutter to the sky. I drop my bag. God, it weighs a ton. What's in there, anyway?

RING-RING.

I stand up straight as I take my cell phone out of my pocket. It's a private number. Maybe it's the customer. I press 'TALK.' "Hello?" I breathe gruffly. I'm not in a good mood, and if this is a prank call, I might just lose it.

"Mr. McGrath," the gravely voice on the other end of the line begins, "I apologize for being unable to receive my package in person today. Something came up." Yeah, sure. "If you could take it out for me, that would be very helpful."

I roll my eyes. Fine. I'll play along with the game. "Whatever you say." I put the phone down on my bike seat. I reach into the bag, and my hands wrap around some kind of orb. I pull it out slowly, mesmorized by the strange device. "What is this, anyway?" I ask loud enough for the man on the phone to hear.

Suddenly, the orb begins to spark. I want to drop it, but I can't. My hands begin to burn. My eyes widen in terror. Soon, the area is enveloped in a flash of blue light. Lightning strikes the street and the surrounding area, but my eyes are fixed on the orb. I know now: this is no prank.

"NNNNNNNNYYYYYAAARRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHH--!"

Heh, interesting choice. Never thought about that.

... I totally forgot this RPG even existed.

Screen Name: Carnage27

Character you'd like to portray: Hamato Leonardo

Superhuman powers, traits, other attributes of interest: Master of the art of ninjitsu, martial arts, and the katana blade. He and his mutant turtle brothers have heightened agility, durability, and strength due to the mutation.

Originally appearing from (which comic, and company?): Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mirage Studios

Fictional history of the character (as you're going to interpret it): After witnessing his master, Hamato Yoshi, cut down in cold blood by the assassin Oroku Saki, Splinter, a common rat, escaped into the New York Streets. While wondering the sewers Splinter came in contact with a glowing, green ooze, which transformed him. The ooze caused him to grow into a human-sized rat, with the intelligence to match. Splinter found another canister of the ooze nearby, and kept it in order to guard his secrets.

Splinter used this transformation and the knowledge of ninjitsu he gained from his master and became an active vigilante operating in New York. That is until “the Purge.”

While heroes and villains were being killed, Splinter went into hiding in the city sewers, biding his time.

Three years after “the Purge” ended, Splinter saw a surface world that was broken and ravaged by sorrow. The weak and the innocent were preyed upon by those who would use the people’s pain for their own twisted gains.

Splinter scoured the city to find something, anything that he could use to form a new breed of hero, and he found it in the form of four baby turtles which had found their way into the sewers. Splinter gathered them up and exposed them to the same ooze that had created him. As he suspected they also began to grow, even larger than he did.

When they were old enough and strong enough to learn martial arts, Splinter began their training. He intended them to become champions of the weak and protectors of those that could not defend themselves.

Leonardo, the eldest brother, was to be the leader. Splinter instilled in the boy a strong sense of right and wrong. He was instructed in the use of the katana, and mastered the two handed form.

We last saw the Turtles teaming with Rorschach and Darkman to take down the Foot Clan, and undermine their plans.

Hero, Villain, or Walking the line?: Hero

List a few reasons why you chose this character: I’m a huge TMNT fan, and I would love to get a chance to bring the more gritty, violent side of the turtles to life, but still bringing a little bit of fun at the same time.

How will this character differ from it's original incarnation?: Leo’s and the rest of the turtles’ demeanors will pretty much be the same as the comics, but I have a difference of the way the turtles as a team are seen. I see them as like a team of Batmen. They only come out at night, and are looking to clean up the city.

Write two complete sentences explaining what you can bring to this RPG: A vast knowledge of the TMNT universe, including a couple good ideas for integrating the turtles and their enemies into this universe.

How many days a week you intend on posting in the RPG: Everyday if necessary.

Please provide a small sample post as your character, at least three paragraphs and one line of dialogue in length:

"Where can we find The Foot?" I ask the thug I have pinned up against the wall, the malice[FONT=&quot] in my voice showing through.

"I ain't telling you. Whatever you do to me, it'll be better than what he would!"

I let out a long sigh, and strike the goon on the nerve cluster in his neck, which sends him slumping down, wetting himself in the process.

"Aw, couldn't I have done that!? You know how much I enjoy making them wet themselves, Leo."

I ignore Raphael's comment, "Let's go. We need to meet with Rorschach. See what he's got."

Screen Name: Carnage27

Character you'd like to portray: Oroku Saki aka The Shredder

Superhuman powers, traits, other attributes of interest: Oroku Saki is one of the world's greatest masters of ninjutsu, if not the greatest. He is incredibly skilled in hand-to-hand fighting, but is also deadly with swords, staffs, spears, and shurikens.

Shredder dons a suit of armor that strikes fear in the heart of his enemies, and also doubles as a weapon, including a set of razor sharp claws on his left hand.

Few have faced the Shredder and lived to tell the tale, but rumors of the ninja master using the dark arts during battle and healing from wounds almost instantly are well known.

Originally appearing from (which comic, and company?): Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mirage Studios

Fictional history of the character (as you're going to interpret it):

Not much is known about Oroku Saki before he put on his mask and became the villain known as The Shredder.

Known in the meta-human community for decades, Oroku Saki was a well know super villain and leader of the ninja syndicate, The Foot, well before the time of The Purge.

The Shredder is known as a deadly combatant, and only the bravest of the masks dared to oppose him and The Foot. Well respected and fear, The Shredder went into hiding after The Purge, during which he killed over 10 masks, it is said.

Talk of Foot ninjas appearing never stopped, though. It now seems Saki is on the verge of announcing his presence yet agin.

And with an army of ninja warriors at his disposal, it will take more than four turtles to stop him.

Hero, Villain, or Walking the line?: Villain all the way

List a few reasons why you chose this character:He's a great villain, and with the entire American branch of The Foot at his beck and call, he represents a threat to all the heroes in our universe.

How will this character differ from it's original incarnation?: He's going to have powers. The extent of these I'd rather not get into

I'm planning on him being a major threat. He isn't going to be some bumbling idiot they made him into on the cartoon, and he isn't going to be some petty, theiving crime lord like the movies. He's going to be pure evil, and he has his sights set on New York.

Write two complete sentences explaining what you can bring to this RPG: A villain, who has plenty of character, and an army of ninjas to release upon our little band of heroes.

How many days a week you intend on posting in the RPG: As many as needed

Please provide a small sample post as your character, at least three paragraphs and one line of dialogue in length:

The guards body falls limp to the ground, shriveled and zombie like, his very soul blasted out of him by dark magic, and a shadow standing over him.

"Fool. Did you really think you stood a chance against Oroku Saki?"

The armored ninja master strolled confidently through the museum, towards it's new Japanese Artifact exhibit. He had heard wind that the great sword Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi had been found and brought to New York, but he had to see for himself.

He approached
the case that claimed to hold theweapon, smashing the glass with his fist, and picking the katana up with hopeful reverence.

He swung with all his might, and from the sword a great whirlwind erupted, ripping apart the museum.

"So, the legends are true," The Shredder mused to himself. "With this great weapon no one will stand in my way. Now, to get my army from Bison."

Approved for both, if you so wish. You sure you want to play your own arch-nemesis?

Approved for both, if you so wish. You sure you want to play your own arch-nemesis?

Eh, I was just going to use him as a NPC, but then I figured he would be to involved for an NPC role. I'd prefer if someone else was willing to pick him up, but I don't know if anyone would.

I guess I'll hold off on him for a while, and if it get's to the point where I need him to be a PC, I'll pick him up.

Pssst.

Do you think we can get away with saying System had their own comic book at one point?

Dibs on Shavo.

Funny you say that. When I saw you said you were interested, I googled to see if they ever had a comic put out about them. All I got was John's massive, online comic store he opened when he was doing the Scars thing with Daron. :o :csad:

Actually, I am definitely going to hold off on Shredder. I'll have another app up shortly.

:(

You make me sad in my pants.

I need a James for my Lars.

Meh, I'd much rather play as Kirk than James.

On that note, I'm dropping Artemis Entreri.

In his place I'm going to pick up...

Not a member of Metallica. I'll find me another villain to play as.

Screen Name: Carnage27

Character you'd like to portray: Henry "Indiana" Jones Jr.

Superhuman powers, traits, other attributes of interest: None. Indy is an adventurer in the purest sense of the word, but has no superhuman powers.

Originally appearing from (which comic, and company?): Indiana Jones published by Dark Horse

Fictional history of the character (as you're going to interpret it):This is courtesy of MM's App. No reason to change what has already been established.

Born in the early 1950's, this incarnation of Indiana Jones exists in a period roughly 40 years later than the version that has appeared on the silver screen. His first three adventures, the recovery of the Shiva Lingam stones, the unearthing of the Well of the Souls, and his journey with his father to the Canyon of the Crescent Moon, respectively, will be considered canon. Unlike the stories told in the film, however, the group searching for the relics in the latter two adventures will be a group of Nazi sympathizers, who handily avoided the infamous Nuremberg Trials by fleeing to the Middle East. There, they enlisted the help of various natives, foreign archaeologists, and other nationals in the hopes of using religion and fear to ensure the revival of the Nazi regime. Utilizing the overbearing fear of Communism to their advantage, the Nazi sympathizers were able to easily get hold of left over tools from the Nazi War Machine and transport them to their digsites.x

Raised by a strict Catholic father, Henry Jones Sr., Indiana was instilled with both a humble respect for his superiors, and a rebellious streak. His youthful antics, however, did not deter him from his studies. Compelled by his father's obsession with religious artifacts and study, Jones began studying antiquities and artifacts as a pass time, seeking a job at museum that worked in partnership with his father, Jones learned several languages, from dozens of geographic regions across the globe, including French, Spanish, German, and various dead languages such as Sumerian, Latin, and Greek.

After going to a catholic high school during the beginning of the tumultuous war in Vietnam, Jones was drafted to the service in 1968, at the height of troop delpoyments in the war. He was drafted and sent to fight, giving the young man the hand-to-hand combat experience that would, later, be invaluble as he found himself deeper and deeper in trouble.

After returning from the war effort, Jones was offered honorary admission into the University his father worked at, Marshall University. Soon after receiving his PhD in Archaeology with a double major in Ancient History and a minor in Classics, Jones began exploring the world full-time, working with a colleague he met through his father: Marcus Brody, owner and curator of the National Museum in Bedford, Connecticut.

After finding hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of rare artifacts for Brody and his museum, Jones was offered a part-time teaching position (asked only to teach when he wasn't on-assignment for the museum itself). His teaching has grown to be more of a hobby than a career, for as soon as his paycheck is in, Doctor Jones dons his fedora and begins another hunt for a priceless artifact.

Hero, Villain, or Walking the line?: Hero

List a few reasons why you chose this character: Indy is my favorite movie character of all time, and to have the chance to play him in an alternate reality of sorts is too good to pass up.

How will this character differ from it's original incarnation?: Just his time period, other than that, Indy will be the same old Indy.

Write two complete sentences explaining what you can bring to this RPG: A dedicated player, who has a deep understanding for the character. And cookies.
How many days a week you intend on posting in the RPG: As many as needed

Please provide a small sample post as your character, at least three paragraphs and one line of dialogue in length:

The desert sun beat down heavily on the man, as he stared down at the map in his hands, sweat pouring down his brow. The temple was said to be located somewhere close, but he and his team had yet to come across anything.

"What do you think Indy? Make camp here for the night? Sunset is close, and we have yet to find even a trace of this infernal temple," his close friend Sallah inquired.

Henry Jones Jr., better known as Indiana, folded up the map and placed it in his satchel, and rubbed his chin in frustration, "No, Sallah. We keep moving for another hour or so. If the legends are true...which I doubt, we've only got a few more days until this temple is swallowed by the desert for another thousand years. And I'm not about to let that happen."
