From The Pages Of... RPG APPLICATION
Screen Name: Optikal
Character you'd like to portray: Goliath
Superhuman powers, traits, other attributes of interest: Goliath is leader of Gargoyles, a race of mythological creatures. Encased in stone by day, the Gargoyles come to life at night. They have the ability to fly as well as super strength, super stamina and durability. They are also masters of combat.
Originally appearing from (which comic, and company?): Both Marvel comics and SLG
Fictional history of the character (as you're going to interpret it):
In 994 he was the leader his clan of Gargoyles at Castle Wyvern. Like all of his species he was looked at with hate. Such hate elevated to the point that when he and his clans man were somewhere else, his entire clan at Wyvern were slaughtered during their slumber. The men who organized the attack on the sleeping gargoyles were none other than men Goliath himself fought next to. One of these men who organized the attack realized his mistake but was too late to stop their slaughter.
After the attack the humans had Goliath and his surviving clan made to sleep for the killing of the princess (Although the gargoyles were not at fault for this death.) The curse made them sleep for a thousand years, an they were only able to awaken if the castle rose above the clouds.
In the year 1994 billionaire David Xanatos bought Castle Wyvern and with it came the Gargoyles. He had the Castle moved to the top of his skyscraper above the "clouds" in New York city.
That night when the sun set the Gargoyles came to life. After being asleep for thousand years, they had no idea where or when they were. Goliath was the only gargoyle to have a name before their curse. So he had the remaining clansmen give themselves names. The clan came up with names from New York they were Hudson, Bronx, Lexington, Broadway, and Brooklyn. The only other clans men that wasn't their to celebrate their coming to life was Demona who they had thought died during the assault but would later resurface.
After their awakening they were surprised to see that a human had their house. At first Xanatos would become their friend but only for his gains. But the gargoyles soon found out what Xanatos's true ways were and decided to make their home in a old abandoned clock tower.
Since then, they have defended the innocent in their new home, becoming defenders of the night.

Gargoyles was one of my favorite shows as a kid
They'll mesh well with the current roster of the game

High above the grime and grit of New York City, a lonesome clocktower laid silent as night approached. Darkness enclosed over the city like a smothering blanket. Most people made their way to thier homes and left the streets in these unsociable hours. However, night time also encouraged out the vermin. The scum and filth of the cities underbelly rose to the surface, terrorising the night.
High upon the ballustrades of that clock tower stood a group of statues. Carvings of terrifying creatures of ancient myth. To the mere observer, a relic of an age gone by. But once night casts its shadow over these stone demons, their shells crack and the ancient avengers known as the Gargoyles are reborn.
Tonight was no exception.
The largest and most regal of those behemoths began to crack as darkness overcame the city. A deep creaking as the stone shell began to give way to flesh and bone. The monster within flexed and roared, rearing up, casting off his shell and bellowing his rage into his night.
Around him, the other statues did the same.
The biggest and most fearsome turned to his comrades as they awoke from their slumber. His huge leathery wings folded around his prodigious body like a cloak. A nod of his head greeted them in silent companionship.
In the distance gunshots rang into the night.
"Goliath?" asked the second in command, known as Brooklyn.
Goliath growled and nodded. "Come on. We'll check it out".
The Gargoyles nodded and spread their wings. The smallest of them, the bald headed Lexington groaned as he hopped up to the ballustrade, "Aww man, I wanted to get in some downtime on GTA!"
Goliath chuckled and leapt into the night sky. "The sooner we deal with this, the sooner we can get back".
