Hate that this RPG is on its last leg. I was going to try another character idea I had and tried earlier in the RPG.

Maybe the Alaska team drives the vamps away (the head vamp seeing it's not worth it), and the Buffy gang gives chase. That frees up Chuck, Indy, Big Red, and the Busters right there.

Well, since the stuff involving the Dark Tower fell through, I'll drop The Gunslinger. Maybe pick him up if and when the story line gets going again.

Screen Name: The Bogus Byrd Man

Character you'd like to portray: Sherlock Holmes

Superhuman powers, traits, other attributes of interest: No powers, but Holmes is, quite literally, the world's greatest detective. Using deductive reasoning, Holmes can figure out almost any criminal case on the planet.

Originally appearing from (which comic, and company?):

There have been a number of Sherlock Holmes comic books, notably from Dell and DC. Holmes was also featured prominently in issue thirteen of the DC/WildStorm series Planetary. Holmes is shown to be in league with Bram Stoker's Dracula in the story. A Charlton Comics series depicted a Holmes based in New York City.

Fictional history of the character (as you're going to interpret it):​

Born in 1854 to well to do parents, young Sherlock Holmes was a bright boy, stuck in the middle between his older brother Mycroft and sister Lydia. After finishing primary school, Holmes enrolled at Oxford University where he first began developing his methods of deduction as a university student, before being inspired by an encounter with the father of one of his classmates to take them up as a profession. His first cases came from fellow university students, before he gained a professional reputation. After college, he would spend the next six years working as a consulting detective, before financial difficulties led him to take on Dr. John Watson as a roommate to help with the rent. In the past, Holmes has struggled with drug addiction. Drugs like morphine, cocaine, and opium have gotten their hooks into Holmes before. Although he is currently drug free, only time will tell if he will fall back off the wagon.

Hero, Villain, or Walking the line?: Hero

List a few reasons why you chose this character: I was about 10 when I read my first Sherlock Holmes story. I haven't read them all, but I've always enjoyed a good detective story and in my mind, without Mister Holmes you don't have Batman or a good many other famous literary characters.

How will this character differ from it's original incarnation?: This version will be very similar to the version you've seen and read. Arrogant, a know it all, but I do hope to change some things up as time progresses. And I might throw a bit of the martial artist that Holmes appears to be in the new movie coming out next month.

Write two complete sentences explaining what you can bring to this RPG: I can bring a decent RPer with three years experience (goddamn has it been that long?). I can also bring the world's greatest detective!...No, not the one with pointy ears.

How many days a week you intend on posting in the RPG: Depends on what's in it for me.

From atop cliffs, I stare out into the ocean. My thoughts stuck somewhere in between the past and what is yet to come.
"Rather beautiful, isn't it?" A voice calls from behind as I puff on my pipe.

"Are you the man I am supposed to meet?" I say as I turn and face the voice. He's a fat man with gaudy rings adorning his fingers.

"Surely, you live up to your title as the world's greatest detective."

"Indeed. Why couldn't me meet at Baker Street? Why does an MI5 agent such as yourself choose here to meet?"

"So, you brother has told you about me?"

"Mycroft and I hardly keep in touch. You give yourself away, sir. The rather ostentatious ring on your right ring hand has the MI5 emblem encrusted on it. The all seeing eye is fairly common for Masons, but no you're not a mason...I believe one has to have actual social skills to join the Masons...The tobacco I smell on you, it's a brand favored by veterans of the India uprising. I know how all you little military boys enjoy your intelligence. Ha, Military Intelligence now that is an oximoron if the word ever existed. The only thing that eludes me about you is your name, so would you be so kind?"

"Bond. Campion Bond." The fat man says as he lights a cigarette.

"Since you've so throughly deduced me and my habits. Let me propose this to you. Why are you agreeing to this?"

I smile and take another puff off my pipe.

"Quite simple really, there are no more challenges for me. Even the most impossible cases I can solve with ease. When I recieved you letter, it filled me with something I haven't felt in many years. Excitment."

"Where is the faithful doctor?"

"Watson? He has no more time for this running around. He has a new wife to take care of, I believe this is too dangerous for my friend."

Bond takes a long drag off his cigarette and tosses it to the ground.

"Very well then. There is a coach waiting at the end of the road here."

I tap my cane as the two of us walk down the dirt road towards the carriage.

"So, Mister Bond. What shall I be doing for you?"

"You're not working for me, Detective. You're working for Queen and Country....you and the rest of the League."
