FF made more then the HUlk but the HUlk despite the negativity is actualy above the FF in terms of favorite franchises.

Is that DVD sales? I think it could be HUlk DVD sales were good I think some people shied away from the HUlk when the negativity came flying out... some people may have enjoyed it in that 2nd weekend perhaps they were even planing on seeing it after the corwds died down from week one.

But negativity kept them away,... they waited for DVD and quietyly purchased the movie and watched it for themselves...

and wala.. they liked it

Well, since the announcement of the sequel, a lot of haters have re-watched the movie, and admitted that they were initially wrong and that it is a good movie, you have to give them huge credit for admitting something like that.

Thats true.

Ang Lee's HULk is another example of a film that never really found success during it's theatrical run, but grew into something that can be considered something of a success during it's DVD release. It's just a shame that the film wasnt big hit that everyone involved knew that it could, and should have been.

Actually a lot, go to thread name "Re-Watching the Hulk after several years" and some people admit to now liking it after a re-watch.

agreed and if you want an example.. Howard Stern..... Hated it in theaters couldn't turn it off on cable

I watched it again... can't say I felt any different from when I came out of the theater except when I came out of the theater my eyes were hurting from the sun.

Cool, see i have been saying this for years, that people need to re-watch the movie, thankfully they are now with the announcement of the sequel.

What ****ing people? God you Hulk fans will continue to say anything to defend that actrocity.

I've always thought that Hulk was a decent movie. Much better than FF.

Ang Lee's HULK is much better than Tim Story's Fantastic Four.

IMHO. :super:

Go to the 1st movies thread and look for a thread called 'Re-watching the Hulk after several years' at least 4 people in there have turned from haters to likers since re-watching the movie.

Yep Hulk is sooo much better and well regarded that a different director is doing the second one and the slow pace of the first is going the way of the dinosaur.

I don't think that any real people have changed their opinions of Hulk.

i believe that the hulk has a better fan base because it was a better film...

fantastic four was geared towards a larger audience, especially a family orientated one which probably also had purchased the incredibles and wanted more of the same thing.

funny thing is though that dvds have a larger profit margin so lots of peeps must have also bought fantastic four dvds, although i can't personally imagine why...

:o

WOW! 4 out of the millions that saw it, and hated it. That should warrant Ang Lee returning shouldn't it?

There are actually a lot of people on SSH that like the Hulk movie, but dont visit this thread. I have seen Hulk praised by people on various other threads, mostly the Batman and Superman ones. And i know a lot of people outside of her that like or love the movie. The only person i know who hated Hulk hated Spiderman 2 and thought Batman Begins was one of the worst movies ever!!!!!!

HULK is a classic movie that will not be appreciated for years to come

Hulk was a great movie. I don't understand how people thought it was slow. Hulk smashed the military for over 30 minutes towards the end of the film. It also gave the Hulk a much more indepth origin than the comics ever did. It gave him a direction for his rage.
