FF cartoon 2006 Vol. 1

Hope this is okay here, since it is a FF forum, or should I say 4-um.

Anyway, I just bought vol. 1 of that new Cartoon Network FF series, and I hadn't had a chance to see it yet, and I've gotta' say it really isn't that bad.

I could do without the anime type look but it's not as bad as some shows, and it's not a bad as the batman, which is an insult to Batman.

The animation is pretty good, not too goofy, it kind of reminded me of an 80's cartoon, I really like it.

The other 2 volumes will be out soon I'm gonna' check 'em out.

Hard Knocks, the Hulk episode was really good and the highlight of the dvd.

There's a nice cameo by Ant-Man in one show, but his suit could've been better.

But all in all it felt more like regular continuity than that Ultimate crap, although it has some movie elements, like alicia, which sucks, 'cause alicia is white and British, they have to stop changing characters like that. What's next a white Blade.

It really surprised me though how much I liked it.

Of course it's not as good as the 2nd season of the 90's show, and it would be nice if they would make cartoons that look like the comics and are faithful to them once again, but this one's okay for now.

these people need to realize that if you want a successful cartoon and comic book movie even they have to be faithful, that's what the fans want to see, and those are the most successful.

That's why at times I'd rather watch old Superfriends instead of JL and JLU, 'cause they messed up too much and missed out on alot of stuff.

It was good but they messed with too much, they ruined Hawkman and Hawkgirl and should've had Hal Jordan as Greenlantern, not that second rate moron.

Anyway, the new FF is alot better than I thought it would be. I am looking forward to the other 2 volumes.

Did the show get canceled or is it coming back? Anyone know? I missed it on tv 'cause of work.

I cannot believe that they put episodes 2, 4, 6 and 8 on the DVD. What the HELL?! Especially since Episode 1 is OBVIOUSLY a pilot, it introduces everything about the series (and episode 4 plays off of it).

If there is, it hasn't aired. Only 8 episodes have seen the light of day yet, and only plots for 12 episodes are known. They made 26 episodes, so that leaves a lot of room.
