Frozen 2

It isn't to me. Elsa's story is the one that draws people to make comparisons to their own life.

That, and well, Elsa's the hot one.
It's the Luke Skywalker situation all over again. Luke and Anna need less hot friends/siblings. They need a Ron Wesley in their life. :o

Also, I am totally team Anna in that regard. She's basically animated Kristen Bell crossed with Anna Kendrick.

I am glad we will see more of Elsa other than ”I am sad”

Elsa and Anna are both interesting in their own right. There, point made. I can't believe we're having this argument. :funny:

Anyway, any chance we might get a new trailer soon?

He's too annoying period. :hehe: He's without a doubt one of the worst Disney sidekicks, which says a lot because most of them suck. Even as a kid I couldn't stand them, with few exceptions.

So yeah, hopefully Olaf won't be in the movie much.

I don't think he's an annoyance, he's about on par with a lot of them from the 90s.

I can see how little kids like him. His summer song is the worst song on the soundtrack though.

That would be fixer upper.

The summer song got huge laughs when I saw it in theatres.

But that's exactly when Disney produced their worst ones. The gargoyles. The gorilla and the elephant from Tarzan. Philoctetes. Not a good company to be in

Olaf was huge with kids.
Ironically, he's also what will make the movie much less rewatchable to them as adults. :o

Olaf works best when he's used in small doses. He's actually quite funny imo when you don't give him too much attention.

Phil was great, hard disagree there. Hard agree on the Gargoyles though, they almost ruin that movie. I think the side-kicks did get worse after The Lion King though.

You know you screwed up badly when not even Jason Alexander is funny in that movie.

Olaf in the first movie is actually kind of funny and not really grating in the first movie, and was not as overexposed as he would become in future Frozen tie-in media. Making Olaf a big focus later on, admittedly, was a big mistake.

Also, “In Summer” is a legitimately one of the best songs on the soundtrack because of how hilariously morbid it is, yet plays it completely straight because of how oblivious he is to wanting something contradictory and completely harmful to his own nature. He’s well intentioned, but just doesn’t know any better, because he was recently “born”. There’s just something kind of innocently charming about that. Also, the part in his song with the puddle is just :funny:.

His character also kind of thematically ties into Anna’s mission to thaw her sister’s “frozen” heart by reaching out to her, therefore ending winter and bringing back spring/summer (“My name’s Olaf, and I like warm hugs”). So, yeah.

Really looking forward to the sequel.

I liked the sidekicks in Tangled.
