"What happened to Hans?"

Oh nooooooooo. I've got a bad feeling about this.

All these D23 announcements just left me cold. I don't know if it has something to do with my fever but, its like someone collected their most well known IPs,and announced a film for them. I don't feel any excitement.

Disney desperately wants another 2019 when they had seven movies grossing more than one billion dollars. :o

Oh crap, they actually just confirmed Hans' return there. Actually interested to see what they do with him here.

The Fifth Spirit question makes me think they'll bring in the actual Snow Queen from the original book.

Oh, Hans is back? At least we'll have an actual villain again. :o

Taking a look at the concept art, it looks like that's Valhalla in the sky and there's a horned shaped shadow stalking Anna and Elsa. Guessing they're delving more into Nordic mythology which is cool.

Frozen 2 greatly suffered from the lack of one, and I'm usually not against an animated movie not having a villain. In regards to Hans, I hope they do something more interesting with him than just the "oh the old villain's back for revenge" trope.

Is this the first shot-back-to-back animated movie sequels?

I think so? Although if this goes the way of Spider-Verse and how Across' production was notorious for changing things last minute and overworking its animators to the nth degree, then Frozen 4 is no way in hell coming out so soon after this.

Funny I liked Frozen 2. As for making them back to back hmmm we’ll see how that goes. It does make me even more interested to see what they’re cooking this time. Lots of pressure.

I always thought it would have been interesting if it turned out that Hans' father had sent him to Arendelle to marry one of the sisters and take over the kingdom, and his father would have been furious at him for failing. A follow up would involve a war between the Southern Isles and Arendelle.

Actually they should do neither, but since these live-action remakes make money regardless of their actual quality, it's an unfortunate inevitability.

I fear a cliffhanger ending for, Frozen III.

I don't see any way around it.
