Funniest Scene

I loved the part where he asks if he can get a cat or dog big enough to ride. Actually, there was a lot of really good humour, I also liked the part where Thor carries in Selvig when he's super drunk, and he tells him "I Still don't believe you're the God of Thunder... but you should be!"

the 'horse' line and the butt-injection definitely got the loudest roars of laughter from the crowd i saw it with.

The weirdest moment that the Audience in my Movie Theatre laughed at was when Coulson was seriously questioning Thor where he reveived his training. When he said Pakistan and other countires insinuating Al Qaeda connections, The whole theatre Laughed!
I guess it was still an after effect of the news of Osama's death that made it kinda outdated or something

^noticed that
yeah just the word "Pakistan" got a chuckle
thought that was kinda strange

The Horse line got the biggest laugh at my viewing and Sif and the Warriors three showing up on Earth looking through the window.

Personally I liked Son of Coul! And Hawkeye telling Coulson that he's starting to root for Thor just put a smile on my face.

Most of it was unnecessary and unfunny.

'I want a horse' and 'Son of Coul' were actually good though.
well then me and my entire audience must have bad taste in humor since my theater was laughing big time at several parts:huh:

The explanation of why thor attacked shield had me lol-ing, I kept imagining it was real.
And also when thor can't break the staps and displays his astonishment.

The tazer scene
The butt tranquilizer
Thor wanting another coffee
Thor getting called an ******** while illegally crossing the street
The tony stark line on whether the destroyer was his or not
The entire pet store scene
The warriors 3 entrie arrival on earth scene

Most of the laughs were great because it was genuinely funny seeing thor out of place and more to chris hitting the right notes comically.

The great thing about the direction itself is that Branagh didn't instruct the actors who played the Asgardians to react in a funny way to Earth. They played it as straight and serious as can be. It was what was happening around them and the reactions and the things that happened when they played off of that made it so goddamn funny.

I found all the jokes to be funny, but some of my favorites are:

-Thor got tasered by Darcy
-Thor being hit by Jane's car at the hospital
-Thor said "Another!" at the restaurant
-SHIELD agent describing the Asgardians as "Xena, Jackie Chan, and Robin Hood"
-The Warriors Three & Sif peeking through the windows

I loved the scene where the warriors 3 are talking about rescuing Thor and someone mentions that Heimdall is probably listening. A second later a guard comes in and goes ''Heimdall demands your presence!''

I got a big kick out of Thor pinning Loki with Mjolnir.

Heimdel letting the warriors go after Thor.

Frost Giant: Run back home little princess
Loki: Damn

:woot:

The buttshot & getting backed over are probably the ones I laughed at the most.

I loved when Heimdall said "Good" after he went off on the Warrior's Three about treason. Heimdall was great.

Am I the only person who found Volstagg's really awkward but endearing

"Umm... if I could... err... beg you majesty's indulgience... to reconsider?"

Really funny? I dunno, I thought Stevenson's sorta bumbling delivery of that line was just hilarious.

Ah I got another one. Maybe unintentionally funny.

During the banishment scene, Loki tries to calm Odin down

"Father..."

Only to be cut off by a raging Odin

"ARAGLALHABALGALA!!!!" (does anyone know what he said there? lol)

Then Loki just craps his pants. It was powerful and showed that Odin is the bawss. But It made me chuckle too.

I don't know why, but, Darcy calling Mjölnir "meow meow" cracked me up...

an you just know, that line came from no one on set being able to pronounce the name right

"How DARE you attack the son of Odin!"
"You dare threaten ME!"
"You are no match for the mighty--"
"This human form grows weak, I require sustenance!"
"I need a horse!"
"This drink I like it. ANOTHER!"

Its amazing when you think about how quotable this movie is... :woot:

For me, the funniest scenes are just of Thor being clearly out of his element on Earth and how arrogant he is to the doctors, Darcy. Him walking through traffic, walking into a pet store demanding a horse. All that was throughly enjoyable.

Scenes that the audiences in my theater reacted to were:

1. Thor getting tazed by Darcy

2. Darcy's line on how she knows CPR

3. Thor getting that injection

4. Thor waking up to find himself constrained on bed

5. Thor getting hit by Jane again at the hospital (A LOT of laughs went into this one from my crowd)

6. Thor smashing the drink

7. Jane's reaction to Thor kissing her on the hand

8. Selvig and Darcy bowing their heads forward to say goodbye to Thor when he said goodbye to them

9. Thor's "I need a horse" line

10. The warriors three talking about how Heimdell might be watching them

11. Heimdell's "Good" line

12. Darcy getting her tazor ready when Jane said that she wanted to go look for Thor

13. Selvig's steroid line

14. The Warriors three and Sif showing up at the window

15. The Xena/Jackie Chane/Robin Hood line

16. The Stark Reference

Thor trying to motivate Sif and the warrior threes
Darcy tazered him
the hospital fight
Thor going to the pet store trying getting a horse
Thor getting hit by Jane's car twice
Thor and Dr.Sveling
Darcy trying to pronounce Mjölnir
"Jackie Chan,Xena and Robin Hood"
no one cared Thor calling coulson "son of col" though

The movie was just funny period. I thought Iron Man had the best mix of action, comedy, sarcasm, awkward moments, and dialogue between characters, but Thor may have it beat.

Jackie Chan, Xena, and Robin Hood...so glad they pointed out the obvious connection and parody that exists.

I'm going to have to go see this again. Every character owned there roles. No overshadowing or scene stealing, everyone contributed.

I think other superhero/comic movie directors need to take notes from Branagh, and Favreau...they really know how to make a movie interesting without neglecting any specific audience type.
