FXs new drama - Justified - starring Timothy Olyphant - Part 1

I can't get over how perfect that final scene was, giving the relationship between Raylan and Boyd bittersweet, heartfelt closure.

You speak kookoo bananas.
Yeah! He was so much fun I really wish they'd introduced him sooner. Boon was probably a last minute addition because they realized Boyd wasn't going down and Raylan had to showdown with someone.

The only had Garret Dillahunt for 8 episodes because of another commitment. So once he got killed off they brought in Boon.

Boon was way more entertaining than Walker.

that was one intense stand off between Raylan and Boon. the blood spat coming from Raylan's head had me fearing for the worst until I saw the show still had 20+ minutes to go. :o But still, that was close. Silly Boon, just had to go for the head shot. A few episodes back he stated the risk in going for those. Should have listened. Now Raylan's wearing his hat as a souvenir which looks weird after seeing him rock the other one for 5 years.

Wynn ****in' Duffy. all that lucky s.o.b does is win. the dog grooming van. genius!

the scenes between Ryalan and Boyd from the barn to the final scenes in prison. just pure gold right there.

You might say Duffy was born to Wynn!

That line is so damn poignant and really encapsulates the series. Come back dammit!!!

Anyone else have the sudden urge to move to to Eastern Kentucky and take up coal mining?

Just me and Maximus then? Alright Maxi, let's roll!

Im hoping Goggins moves on to another good show. :)

Bullseye in season 2 of Daredevil please!

Raylan and Winona love each other, but they just can't be together. She is too much of a control freak who freaks, to be with someone like Raylan. Even a mellowed out Raylan.

I thought the whole point of Winona's scenes with Raylan this season were supposed to showcase that she had gotten to a place where she wanted to be with the man he is and accept him as opposed to trying to change him, and him leaving Kentucky was him closing the book on the old west stuff which had kept him alone.

I feel like, even though Winona accepted Raylan's gun-slingin' ways, it's not a big surprise they didn't end up together. They're both too volatile for each other.

Bullseye in season 2 of Daredevil please!

Goggins wouldn't have been my first choice, but that is an interesting idea!

"C'mon now Darrre-devil!"

I can critique this episode with one word

Satisfying

I thought it was a pretty satisfying finale and wasn't expecting the sentimentality in the last scene.

Well done FX well done. :applaud

After having watched the finale a few more times, the ending was epic. It was bittersweet in two ways. The ending with Raylan lying to Boyd about Ava and the "we dug coal together" line and the bittersweet for the audience. I am glad the show ended on its own terms, went out on top, and never really suffered a drop in quality. However, it left me wanting way more. Especially more Raylan and Tim moments. Those two had such great chemistry. Hopefully they will do a limited series in the future.

On another note, Elmore Leonard was working on a new book that featured Raylan when he passed. Maybe one of his sons (not sure which, but I am sure one is a writer also) will finish it and they can use it for an idea for. Limited series. Just a thought.

Justified, Broad City, Empire, Mom, 24, Jane the Virgin, Transparent Lead the 2015 Critics Choice Nominations

In something of a surprise, FX’s Justified parlayed widespread acclaim for its final season into a leading five nominations, including best drama series, lead actor for Timothy Olyphant, supporting actor for Walton Goggins (who’s also up for his guest work on Sons of Anarchy), supporting actress for Joelle Carter and guest performer for Sam Elliott.

I dont see Goggins being able to compete with Jonathan Banks appearnce in Better Call Saul, but he should definitely get the award for Sons of Anarchy

Not to take away from Banks' talent, but Goggins, in my opinion, has a lot more scenes under his belt of incredible acting than Banks.

Goggins should get all the awards for his turn as Venus on SOA. Seriously Venus and Tiggy's relationship was the most beautiful heartfelt and honest relationship on television.

Not having cable nor being a torrent guy, I finally picked the final season up and did a marathon. What an ending to a show, everyone has pretty much described how satisfying it was. Duffy's van had the hilarious writing on it, gave him the same *****e vibe as the RV did, but I gotta say, Mikey's fate hit me pretty damn hard. I loved seeing him save Duffy, then was gutted after what happened. Great little moments like that in this show just shows the quality.
