G I Joe: The Pursuit Of Cobra?

So i was checking out some Rise of the Cobra related memorablia... (Ha Ha Toys) and i found something interesting on Wikipedia...

When Rise of Cobra came out, there was a line of toys called Rise Of Cobra, all the toys are movie based themed...This was to be relased in 2009, however there 2010 release has been given the name The Persuit Of Cobra.

So i thought i would check this out, so i did and found some pictures on here

The new line of toys - are based on the movie characters? So it made me think, is G I Joe The Pursuit Of Cobra the title for the next movie and these are ideas of what the characters might be and do? or is this a comic based on the movie that will tie between the first and second movie?

I think this is simply a generic title for the wave, perhaps to continue linking it with the movie (similar sounding title). Moreover, the lack of a full script or signs of production at this point (meaning a release this year and probably the next) probably means this will not be the sequel's title.


P.S.: Lol at how the second link ends with '...bra superpage' for me.

yeah made me laugh... haha

But i kind of guessed after i posted this that this was generic... although Persuit of Cobra is a pretty cool name. However it raises questions as you would figure cobra is lead by commander and destro which are both imprisioned.

The script is currently being written, but it isn't finished yet. This was confirmed by the guys who are writing it (the same team that wrote Zombieland).
