Game of Thrones - HBO part 2

GoT surpisingly probably wont go past a 6th or 7th season so either they will start to adapt different parts of books or end the show on one of book 5 or 6 if they break up earlier books in more than 1 season.

And its perfectly fine for people to want a series to have a finish. They may not get it but in the end thats what making up an ending in your mind is for or fanfiction if noone ends up finishing the series. But not that big of a deal for people to want something to finish.

Higher-ups in the show have already confirmed future books will have some splits.

Apparently A Clash of Kings will not. A Storm of Swords will be split into two seasons. A Feast for Crows / A Dance with Dragons should be about three seasons.
If they do that then they definitely need to produce more than 10 episodes a year.

If they split up seasons, I hope we don't have to wait a full year between them. I don't mind the wait if it's an entire book, but not if they're both one book.

Finally saw the last ep. I liked that it basically guaranteed there will be a second season, as every scene, with every surviving character, sets up for more....

I must say, the actor that plays Joffrey did an amazing job this past ep. He is truly menacing, and as much as i hate his character and wish to see him die a slow and painful death, i can't wait to see more of his sadistic rule as king.

It depends on how they do them. If they decide to term them "half-seasons," then we might get a full book's worth of seasons in one year. But realistically, half the book will be a season, and there's almost always a one-year wait between seasons of any given show, probably for financial reasons if nothing else.

If half a book a year means there are fewer financial concerns and that half a book can look absolutely fantastic instead of shoddy if they have to split a given fiscal year's budget, then yes please, I'll take that.

I dont think they are splitting book 3...

They should split a combination of book 4 and 5 into two seasons...Book 4 cant be a season alone.

The typical HBO "season" is 13 episodes. Not sure why GoT only got 10 in it's first run? Maybe due to production costs, lack of material in first book, etc. But I'd expect future seasons to have the 3 additional episodes.

I agree, he has a very regal look about him.

It was also good to see The Hound and Sansa interacting. I always liked their interaction in the books just because it was so odd.

Yeah all of the "kids" are pretty good on this show. HBO knows how to cast talent for sure.

I agree. I wish they would only do book three as one season with more episodes. 14 episodes would probably be enough to do that book justice. And Considering how long book 5 is going to be they should do seasons 4 and 5 in 12 episode seasons at least. Hopefully we'll get that far.

As for characters in the upcoming season...They really need to nail
Brienne, Stannis, and Davos personally...The most important of these would probably be Brienne as she is at the center for the next 3 books alot

I think they need to nail the Melisandre casting as well becuase that charcter could become incredibly annoying if they cast the wrong person for it.

As I stated, they've already stated that A Storm of Swords will be split into two seasons.

They got a hideous child to play Hot Pie, I'm def curious to see what beast of a woman will play Brienne.

[BLACKOUT]I'm also curious to see what Ygritte and Asha look like.[/BLACKOUT]

They said that's what they'll probably do but they weren't sure yet. They have to get a season 3 first.
They'll get to at least season 3. AGoT has become HBO's most viewed series, having topped Boardwalk Empire ratings for at least the season finale.

They already know where they'll break it. Considering A Storm of Swords is the longest book in the series, still, of course they'll separate it.

Léa Seydoux is what Ygritte should look like.

where does it state this?....I have not read this anywhere
Some blog somewhere. It might have been from Adam Whitehead, who reports a lot of information from related blogs and/or other news. Might have been from GRRM's not-a-blog too.

Okay, I am not going off a blog or an assumption of possibly Adam Whitehead reporting something

Right now, to my knowledge and those from Winter is coming.net...Book 3 has not been announced that it will be split.

I can see 14-16 episodes, but there is no way a series a big budget will split this for that
