Wait till they get to the Mountain that Rides (Gregor Glegane). Although I don't think they can or have enough time get into all the detestable things about him. Definately the Darth Vader of Westeros. Oh, and you can take a guess as to who he works for.

What he did to the Targaryen baby... *shivers*

Enjoyed episode 2 almost as much as the first. When I first saw the previews for the show (admittedly havent read the books yet, but will do as someone earlier suggested and get them after season 1) I assumed it had more of a "fantastical" element to it like LOTR, Narnia, etc. but that hasn't been the case other then the very first scene, but I haven't really missed that part of it at all as the characters are all so compelling in so many different ways.

HAHAHA!!! Found this!

Loved seeing Joffrey look like a ***** twice in the episode.

Kid has a face you want to smack anytime it's on screen.

ok never read books but about jon snows mother i have heard people online speculating he is:

The son of Eddard's sister and the eldest Targaryen which is why he did'nt want to talk about the issue with Robert since he hates the Targaryen's and it may put Jon's life in danger i hear it has'nt been revealed in the books yet do you believe there is any truth to this because that could be very interesting?

need more lovcraftian adjectives to describe how awesome this show is. the second ep was even better than the first, which in turn was fantastic :D

No. Ned is his father. The mother hasn't been revealed, but there are hints. There are two possibilities though.

NO...you are wrong, there is no clear fact stated regarding this. Ned says he has Stark blood...The Targareyan and Lynna rumor can be valid. As they were together for a year...Eddard easily could have saved him to not have him killed by Robert

:cmad:
but that would be stupid!

Jason Momoa must be loving his role. He just stares, grunts & does it with a hot chick. Two episodes in & all he has said is no

I hope he'll get more lines in that Conan the Barbarian remake he's doing.

No, knowing GRRM it would make sense in his eyes. He is all about twists and turns...It ties well with that part of history.
Ned is as loyal as one can be...He would never have cheated on his wife

Yeah that's not exactly the known. There are flashbacks that Ned thinks about in the book that reveal that while Robert was fighting Rheagar, Ned was racing to a place called The Tower of Joy where Rheagar was "apparently" holding Lyanna captive. Ned goes there with Jory's dad, a Lord named Howland Reed and several other guardsmen. A fight ensues with several of the Kingsguard that were "holding" Lyanna. Only Ned and Howland Reed survive the fight and Ned was almost killed if it wasn't for Howland Reed. Anyways they find Lyanna there and it's very vague as to what happened to her but the only things that are revealed are 1) she's found in a pool of blood 2) she charges Ned with something "Promise me Ned" she says 3) She dies there. So there you have it.
I don't know how much of this they will get to in the show but the producers do know the answer from GRRM.

I guess it would make for a nice war in the last books where Jon and Daenerys are battling for the Iron Throne.

yeah that could happen...I am sure whatever happens, it will be EPIC as GRRM's beard

Jon is Ned's son, there is no question about that.
Take into account that Ned's first choice for marriage was not Kat but when he lost his real love he married Kat out of duty and later on fell in love with her. Also he and Robert were quite the men about town when they were (frequently) off on campaign, or are we forgetting Gendry? Strong hints to who the mother is have been dropped, personally I'm of the opinion that when it all shakes out Jon and Gendry would have had the same mother.

For someone that seems to be caring ,Kat seems to be a real B#*tch when it comes to Jon.

Cheated on her before giving her an Heir or before Ned even really loved her.

It's explained in the books that Jon is seen through her eyes as an insult to her honor. Which is very important to the Tully's (her house). Most noble women are not subject to having their husband's infidelity flaunted, and more or less raised as one of the children of their house. [BLACKOUT]We find out later that Robert has many bastards.[/BLACKOUT]

I really need to read these books.

In the book one of the main reasons is because he looks more like Ned than any of the children he had with her other than Arya.

Considering what the future holds for his character, it's only downhill from there. ;)

The girl who plays Arya reminds me of a young Lindsey Lohan.
