Cersei is a bit too soft IMO...hopefully as the story progresses that changes (ive read all the books so I have my own picture of how Cersei should be)

soft in appereance or actions?

because lena has very strong features on her

oops read above post

They aged up Catelyn because they aged up her children.
Not really though. They all look the same age. Bran said he was 10, and Arya was 11. The only kid that looked like they aged up was Rickon.
And I think it's amazing how Robb and Jon look like actual brothers.

I just read that Natalia Tena was cast as Osha. Can't wait to see her!

that was an tremendously boring episode.... in my opinion.

except for the blue eyed children at the beginning.

will not be watching beyond this episode.

too much dialogue and having to pay attention? was that too much for you?

I'm the first to complain about the talking to action ratio being F'd up but the show held me attention.

Bran's supposed to be 7 at the start of the series, and Robb's supposed to be 14. He looks 19-20 in the show.

I'll agree that Cat seems a little too aged up, though. I was expecting her to look around 37-40. I have no idea how old this actress is, but she looks at least late-40's to me. That said, a few of the reviewers have mentioned that she delivers a great performance over the course of the 6 episodes they've seen, so the casting doesn't really bother me.

Ok, is it just me or were the two big differences in the sex scenes? The Dothraki do everything in view of the sky and their tribe. I'm pretty sure the first time Danny had sex with Kahl it was on the grass behind his tent, and it wasn't rape.

I'm also pretty sure the Cercei/Jamie sex scene took place in a fully furnished room. Though I can see why they would use some disused tower, but why not a used fully furnished tower?

You're right on Drogo and Dany. Jamie and Cercei--that was some incest, right?

Wow... You're gonna miss some really great stuff happening.
You're the kind of person I have a problem with. Give things a chance to start.

Yea....that is as incestuous as it gets

It has been a couple of years since I read the book. I'm trying to hold out until Martin finishes the series. That way if he dies first I'm not disappointed.

Well... there is Mance Rayder and his daughters. I think that's worse than Cersei and Jaime.

Looks like ratings are in.

Early Ratings: Game of Thrones Is No Boardwalk Empire

http://nymag.com/daily/entertainment/2011/04/early_ratings_game_of_thrones.html

So HBO won't release official ratings for last night's brilliantly hyped premiere of Game of Thrones until tomorrow. But one early indicator suggests that the numbers probably won't break any records. Don't panic, GoT groupies: The good news is, HBO doesn't live or die by Nielsen's verdict, and we're about 98.5 percent certain that the network will green-light a second season of the epic fantasy. That said, let's look at what the first returns from Nielsen show.

According to data obtained by Vulture, GoT earned a 1.6 rating in Nielsen's overnight household sample. By way of comparison, last September's debut of Boardwalk Empire on HBO averaged a 2.8 rating in the overnights. Household ratings aren't used much anymore, with most networks tending to look at overall viewership or demographic averages to gauge a program's success. What's more, because of HBO's smaller distribution — it's in about 28 million homes — household overnight ratings can vary substantially from the national total viewer figure. All of these caveats aside, down is down: Based on this snapshot of its performance, it's clear GoT won't come close to matching the nearly 5 million viewers who watched the Boardwalk Empire premiere in September.

I've never read the books, but I appreciated the nudity.

Jason Momoa looked pretty badass for a guy that wears eyeliner.

Momoa looked pretty perfect as Khal Drogo. I hope they make him a little more likable and the romance between him and Daenyrys becomes what it is in the books.

Man am I really dying to see the first episode but it won't premiere here 'till this week. Must be patient.

Really digging this show.Would pick up the books, but waiting for the author to finish the rest of them would be difficult for me.

You're thinking Craster not Mance. And yes that is worse than Cersei and Jaime. He won't be around untill season 2.
