Game of Thrones

I think it's prety obvious at this point based on what we've seen of the brother and sister relationship :csad:, plus the way Joffrey looks.
I'll say this.
It's not the speculation of this that matters. It's the actions around this knowledge that matter.

yo i'd spoiler that **** right now fool...there are cats here who dont even know that.

myself not included

Should a separate non-spoiler thread be made? I'm sure the people who've read the books are gonna get tired(if they're not already) of wrapping everything in spoiler tags and those of us who haven't read them wouldn't wanna read something spoilerific "by accident".

No, not yet of course...I do feel that major plotlines and key moments in the book that have not happened on HBO should be in spoilers.

I don't know if that would work here because someone always slips one in on these boards.
There is one here though if you're interested.

Having read all the books, I don't mind posting stuff in spoilers tags at all. I would repeat though to the people who have read them to please not spoil the show for people. Maybe a thread about the books here on the SHH boards would be more in order? We do have a new one coming out soon! :awesome::awesome::awesome::awesome::up::up::up:

Anyone else a bit disappointed that Cat's "it should have been you" line from the books was taken out of her confrontation with Jon over Bran's bed in the second episode? I missed that line a lot. I thought it pretty much summed up everything about their relationship perfectly.

Other than that, though, the show's been fantastic. I think Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is gonna steal the show as Jaime eventually.

The fandom seems kind of split on this. I didn't mind it so much. I think it would translate as over the top on screen. Plus the fact that Ned entered the room on the show kind of changed the situation a bit.

Yeah, the whole scene was a bit different. I don't think it would've been over-the-top if she'd sat by and watched Jon be so tender and brotherly to Bran, then stopped him and delivered that seething, baleful line very matter-of-factly on his way out, but the scene we got wouldn't permit that anyway. The scene as it played out is perfectly fine, I just thought that line was absolutely perfect when I read it in the book.

That reminds me of another question I had, though: What's the fandom's reaction to the decidedly different maester chains? I was sad at first because they looked really weird and garish at that scale, but then I realized we probably wouldn't have been able to see them at all in like 90% of the maesters' scenes if they were as small as they are in the books. I'm okay with them, but I bet some of the more purist fans are screaming bloody murder over them. :funny:

I think they did it for the same reasons that you mentioned. Visability. I think most people thought it was an unnessary change at first but it's not that big of a deal in my opinion.

I'm glad they made the chains bigger. It works better on screen than in ones imagination when reading a book.

Yeah, we do have a books&music section

It's not really that funny man. You've ruined a couple things for me already. please use spoiler tags in the future if talking about the books.

I use spoiler tags. The person above was referring to someone else. But if you really have such a problem with being spoiled then start another thread. No I don't care if I spoil anything for you, anything of importance I put in spoiler tags.

Besides, it is published you know.

I'm quite aware it is published, I'm interested in the show. I'm sorry you don't have the decency to be polite, and no you've blurted out several things with out putting tags on them.

Well if you feel somehow spoiled then sorry, but much of this thead before the show started was an open discussion. I'm sure we have all tried to keep it spoiler free using tags, but it is hard separating common knowledge from spoilers at this point.

I like these three characters as well. I also like Ned because I feel that he's a good man who is shackled by his committment to the King, and he's getting a raw deal out of it.

I think I have to agree about these three as well. Tyrion is definitely my favorite. He's just a bad ass.

I find the Arya storyline more interesting now.

I won't be able to watch it till this afternoon. My weekend got piled up when a meeting from Thursday got rescheduled for Sunday afternoon and threw me off everything.

I actually like the show more for the characters that make it juicy. The characters you listed kinda fall in line with who the narrative would have you root for.

Which seems to be happening alot with the response to this series.

...the lanisters and their dirt is pretty much giving this show ratings at this point.
