Their being twins is a major part of the story. How could one forget that?
I don't know, when you see two people screwing on TV, you don't want to think they are related, its kinda gross

"Can't wait till around episode 8 or 9 when things get really ugly. I imagine people will be outraged, some might even quit watching."
Chicken, can you put in spoilers or send me a private message what you mean here please. Why would people stop watching?

Not strictly 1 book per season because there are 2 books that happen at the same time, one concerning the characters in the south, the another concerning the characters in the North, Summer Isles and across The Narrow Sea. At a certain point it's gonna get really clipped I think, at this point it's moving along quite nicely, but important things about the world that you would have known in the first chapters most people would have no idea of.
Godswood? Heart tree? Septa? Maester? How does one become a knight? The messed up seasons and how it helps drive people's desperation. Etc.
HBO has also done part2s to seasons before. Entourage and The Sopranos are examples. I think they came to 18 or 20 eps total per season combining the 2 ( normal 12 then part 2 6 months later), so if theyre worried about loosing too much in a regular 12 ep season spanning 2 books, thats always a option.
So each season is based on the events of one book in the series? I hope that means HBO will greenlight a season for each book.
Still wouldn't fit. A TV movie is what, 2 or 3 hours tops? Not nearly enough.
