Those 3, I don't consider "cheating" as much as being "HIGHLY inappropriate" and possible grounds for a breakup.

Pretty much all of them i'd say. The only exception would be the 'kissing on the lips momentarily' as this is often just a greeting in many parts of the world.

And I hate to go all religious but JC had it right when he said (paraphrasing) 'To even think about it is to commit it in your heart'.

Actually, in retrospect, quite a few of them could crop up in situations where one may find themselves in 'extenuating circumstances' and might therefore not be considered cheating. I guess it comes down to your own interpretation, motivations and personal attitudes and beliefs.

Err on the side of caution i'd say - if you're doing something akin to one of the options above and you have a niggling little voice at the back of your skull telling you 'this is cheating' then you're cheating.

Oh, those weren't the only ones not considered cheating, just the ones that are "not cheating" but are still inappropriate.

Follow-up question, if your significant other did one of these things that you deem "cheating", would you kick 'em to the curb, or try and work through it?

I've BEEN cheated on, and I know there's no getting over it. If it ever happens again, not only am I done with her but I think it'll be time for some serious introspection

Depends. If you do it because you're bored or for a laugh then no. If you do it because you have some sort of feelings for the other person, then its a mild form of cheating.

No, but its not something most women are going to be comfortable with. That's one of those gray areas where you haven't exactly cheated but you're probably in some deep **** if she finds out. I wouldn't be that bothered by it, though. I'd just give him some **** for the hell of it.

Yeah.

Depends on the degree of the lap dance. If the guy (or girl) has their hands all over the other person, then yeah. If its a look-but-don't-touch deal, then no, but your bf/gf/spouse probably won't be happy. I don't really consider it cheating though.

Eh, that kind of depends on the people involved. Some would consider it cheating, some wouldn't. Depends on the circumstances for me.

I think it depends on the level of commitment. If Peter were to sleep with someone else, it would depend on the circumstances. If it was a one time thing because he was drunk or whatever, I'd try to get over. I'd probably be mad for a while, but I think we'd get through it. But if he was like in love with someone else, I'd probably just cut my losses and move on.

Going to a strip club, getting a lap dance, dreaming about having sex with another individual, picturing someone elses face on your partners face constantly, and *********ion is not cheating but it may get you in trouble if you told your gf or bf.

Unless you're a stripper or really drunk, no one is stupid enough to give a lap dance and strip for someone else other than thier gf or bf. I wouldn't considered cheating unless it went further than that.
