That was the first thing I noticed during the Terminator premiere that Worthington is hobbit-esque.

he is....and his performance doesn't help either....how did he get anointed the next up and coming action guy?

That attitude he has. The aussies and the brits now have that whole action tough guy thing in spades that our actors used to have, but apparently no longer do.

I'm a huge Gears fan, but my expectations are low for this. Video game movies haven't turned out so great, and I can't shake the feeling that this will be some watered down crapfest of the game. Maybe if I keep my expectations low I'll be surprised. lol

You know, I wouldn't mind Worthington as Marcus. Even if he isn't the best choice, he's certainly the best choice over most of the choices of wrestlers in this thread.

I hope it's for the movie too. I wouldn't mind seeing that skullet cog in G3 or the flick. He looks totally badass. He's got a hardened demeanor.

I don't get the hate for sam. I don't think he's the best choice for Marcus, but I wouldn't be put out by it. I thought he was very good in terminator, better than bale.

I would rather they get someone at least 6' and not have to waste time on camera angles. And I personally don't like his fake american accent. But I get this feeling, he's who they're going for since everyone wants him. But I could be wrong.

For the game franchise, I never really cared for the gameplay and its overall story, but I did like the concept. If this project is taken seriously -- unlike nearly every video game adaptation -- then I'm all for it.

They can definitely do better with the story. By introducing Dom's motivation in this film first and really having a good connection with all of them. Instead o the constant *****ing they all did to eachother in the game, I think in the game they were suppose to be over the top big guys anyway, and hell that's how the unreal engine works, but this, they don't have to be wrestler sized guys.
