The only classic music we need is the Imperial March for this movie

Im still encountering people that think this is a sequel to TFA. When I tell them its set before Episode 4 the general response is, "Thats dumb."

The marketing really really needs to tell the general movie goer that this takes place before Episode 4. In big bold letters if they have to.

Show. Darth. Vader.

Or it could be in the opening crawl.

[Looks at last few posts[including my own]] :funny:

These are the people that think the Death Star is a new Death Star and that this is a sequel. They are probably going to think Vader has returned.

I know someone that thought they recast Rey. This is the sort of obliviousness we are dealing with.

The marketing needs to spell it out in no uncertain terms in words that this is a prequel and set before ANH.

Okay, well you can't fix that kind of stupid. But the majority will get it. Death Star, Darth Vader, no one from the last movie being in it.

You can if you just tell them with the marketing.

Yes, of course. By outside of literally putting the words, "right before Star Wars" how do you do that without being garish? Also no matter how you try, that doesn't change how some people never catch on. Why would anyone think TFA was starring Natalie Portman? Yet people did. They show an older Han Solo, a burned Vader mask, and people still ask, "when does this take place". How did you fix that?

I'm worried people will be wondering why is Vader alive

Tell them it's his clone from an alternate dimension. They'll nod their head in confusion.

"Why does Poe Dameron now look Mexican?"

"Nooo... Not another Death Star!"

"They have re-cast Rey?!"

"Why isn't Luke in this?"

"Vader is still alive?! But... they showed his burned mask in the previous one..."

"Why no lightsabers?"

"Is the dude with the white cloak the new villain and what happened to Kylo Ren?"

I bet that at least ONE of these will be heard from someone around you or me during a screening...

So from the other trailer angle anyone else think of? :funny:

Seeing certain things, I'll be the first to say it still wouldn't have beaten Rebels if it was shown.

There is a better quality leak of the celebration teaser out in the wild.

I haven't watched any leaks of that trailer yet. Although a better quality one being out there might change that...

It's not really a full trailer, it's more a one minute teas, with 30 sec of stuff we've seen and maybe 30 sec of new footage, with of course the ending which is what brings the house down cheering.
The blurry shaky sneaks online don't to do it justice. My first thought was, I wish I waited to see these few new clips in an official capacity.
It's great but not sure what all the complaining was about, since the sizzle real was just as, if not more compelling.

What the hell is Vader looking at and why is the shot upside down?
