Vancouver 2010 was an awesome experience! Pretty much the whole downtown core was shut down so during peak hours you were basically walking shoulder to shoulder with people wherever you wanted: sidewalks, streets, you name it. I went to several events, which was obviously very cool, but honestly the most special experiences were with all the people just mingling in the area. Hell, one my most unique experiences was watching one of the hockey games at a McDonald's. It was just me, my friend and someone else at first and then slowly people started gathering around. It's things like that that gave the Olympics that great sense of community.
