Wouldnt Vader be in his personal Tie fighter? This film takes place right before ANH and he had it with him on the Death Star in ANH so he should be flying it in Rogue One as well.

Hence the surprise! ;)

In the living room. I had the poster too (it was the same one the kids had in their bedroom in Poltergeist). I took it down and hid it in my closet. :funny:
I did this with my Jurassic Park stuff as a kid. Even the bones T-Rex terrified me. :funny:

*at work watching trailer for the 10th time*

Dibs on an avvy for the shot of the Tie coming up on Jyn

It looks a lot more practical shot too. I'm happy it looks more tangible.

Gareth might have a better eye for visuals than JJ does. Every frame of this trailer just looks so good and unique!!!

Jyn is going to sacrifice herself to be able to send the plans isn't she?

Yeah, we are at least in for a visual show, beyond Miss Jones of course. :O

Even if it doesn't turn out to be good, it looks like I can at least enjoy it as two hours of gorgeous Star Wars imagery. :funny:

If nothing else, this film ought to be a visual treat. Characters and dialogue aren't really doing it for me but GODDAMN those shots.

And great troll job with the Vader shot at the end. Kinda pointless to play coy with the character, seeing as how everybody knows what he looks like. :funny:

That was ace. Felicity Jones is slowing becoming my new crush.

Ha. I used to be afraid he'd come out from the side when I was at the movies when I was a kid. I wasn't even seeing Star Wars movies at the theater.

The did a Darth Vader appearance at the mall near me - I think it was an ‘official’ appearance (somewhat Lucasfilm approved, at least) when Empire came out.

  • My dad told me his Star Destroyer was orbiting earth and he flew a TIE Fighter down to the mall to visit
  • I not only believed him, I saw an antenna or something and totally assumed it was part of the TIE Fighter
  • My dad told me Luke couldn’t be there, because then they would fight and they weren’t allowed to fight at the store
  • I believed that too.
  • I got to shake Darth Vader’s hand. I was six, so that handshake was at eye-level for me. My sister said I looked positively terrified.
  • When he spoke to the crowd, I hid behind my dad.
  • He said something about misbehaving kids being sent to the Star Destroyer and my dad had to explain to me that he was kidding.

I was 6. It was awesome. But he scared the hell out of me. :funny:

Like I said, the best stories. :atp:

If this movies turns out to be half as good as it looks, I think a billion is a lock.

Yeah, she's gorgeous. Hard to believe she's 32.

At least it's something you'll remember for the rest of your life :woot: :cwink:

Looks great!! Incredible Star Wars visuals, at the very least. Even if the story is so so, the visuals will be incredible. Hopefully the story and character work is on point as well. :D
And I'm thinking that might be Krennic in the TIE facing off against Jyn. If that scene is the finale.

Donnie Yen keeps looking so ****ing badass!
