Well, bad enough they air it on programming I normally avoid, but this is just another existence of Lucasfilming marketing toward sportsters and and not the geeks/ nerds who do the word of mouth promotion.

Yes, sell to the people you already have, not the people you need to win over and let know this exists. Makes sense.

By the way, someone over there questioned how many adults would be up at 10pm watching the Olympics. Am I the only one that stays up past 10pm these days?

My hours are work right now are different for summer. But usually I get out at midnight from work and am up until 4 am the latest so. I'm with ya past 10 pm haha

No, I think they’re airing during an event with a lot of viewers. That’s kind of how marketing works...

They know they’ve got our money. This is sell it to everyone else.

But why premier the trailer trailer for these folks? In this venue? I had it on 30 minutes, couldn't stand it, just set it to record whenever it comes on.

I remember last year someone posting the trailer they premiered for TFA during football didn't get 1/4 of the views it did online and elsewhere. That's why this Olympic cross-promotion makes no sense if that was true. People don't watch trailers during sporting events, even the Superbowl isn't a good venue for that anymore, they are using dated marketing strategies. This is painful to sit through if you don't give a damn about sports.

It wont be as late as 11... well before actually. probably within the next half hour I'd say. Phelps has an event after his BIG event with Lochte and viewers will teeter off as 11 gets closer.
