Very minor nitpick: Stormtrooper armour is so useless. Elbowing an armoured trooper in the helmet really shouldnt be enough to knock them out. Star Wars Rebels does this crap as well. The good guys just punch the troopers in their helmets and the Troopers react as if theyve been hit in the face and knocked out. To understand how ineffective that should be go punch a person wearing a football helmet. The peeson wearing the football gelmet will be the one left standing. The person that punched them will be on the ground crying over their broken hand.

I wish Star Wars would stop treating the armour like its even more useless than plastic. And stop acting like hitting their helmet is an off switch.

Though, Rebels has done a good job of showing that Troopers may not be dead when they go down when shot.

I agree and have always thought of it more as a uniform to make the soldiers faceless automatons rather than anything protective.

Yeah, Stormtroopers win through sheer numbers, not skill or superior tech.

Marv is definitely right. The helmet punching is so over the top, though I guess I have just been use to it since Chewie smacking fools. Sabine's Mando helmet was able to survive a blaster shot, and Vader's armor saved him from a lightsaber strike. So there are definitely levels to these things.

Rex's clone armour was pretty sturdy, which is weird to think that the people in power actually value mass produced clones over the lives of Stormtroopers. Palpatine's a sick man, sick in the head.

I wish the movie had the opening crawl. I'm sure it would fit. Also if the end credits are like in other Star Wars movie then it might feel that something is missing in the beginning. It feels weird not to start the movie with the crawl.

Edwards makes a point of introducing the (supposed) more elite Death Troopers.

As to why they are not seen after R1, and Storm Troopers remain the standard.

Considering the Deathtrooper height, the black armor, with a Vader style belt, and that they are Krennic's personal enforcers, whose title is "Director of advanced Weapons Research" ...
I wonder if they are not part machine? Part of an experiment. Standard Troopers, but with their limbs severed and enhanced by cybernetics, like Vader.
If they were not part of a "program" that also gave Vader his body.
And Krennic is involved in their creation, adding to the tension between Vader and Krennic?

May also explain why once Vader takes over the mission, they are never seen again.

I'd like to see it anyway, although I doubt they'll get that into it.
