It is definitely a Kyber Crystal. They are important to the film.
And the future of the mythos most likely.

There is only one darksaber, and apparently the Mandos don't like to share.![]()
Maul lost the Darksaber in Son of Dathomir. And this is a thing:actually Darth Maul had the darksaber in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and he's still alive in Star Wars: Rebels

I really hope the TV spots limit Vader. I know we have literally seen 6 seconds total, but it gives some context to what he's doing in the film. I am a guy who loves spoilers, but I actually really want to be surprised by Vader.
Maul is Snoke, confirmed.Until Rey takes it from her cold dead fingers![]()
Rey has already got one saber that she didnt build. She doesnt need a second saber that she didnt build.
Part of a Jedi's training and right of passage is constructing their own saber. She needs to build her own saber. Not co-opt a second one.
Maul is Snoke, confirmed.
That definitely sounds like a fair trade off.Ep VIII could be he worst movie in the franchise, Attack of the Clones on steroids, and I'd still love the holy hell out of it if we get Snoke's origin and a extinction-level event wiping out the theories of his identity.

I am sure Snoke's origin will be most likely revealed in VIII. Luke will probably explain all about the Knights of Ren, Kylo's deception and Snoke.
