The only one who resembles him in the promo pic is the charlie sheen look alike (only brunette). which is kinda ironic considering who his dad is.

HOLY CRAP!:wow::wow::wow:
anyone else wondering why he looks like mini-cable?

Probably because of Claremont's Gambit origin. If he IS a Sinister/Summers combo like in The End, then I guess his kid looking like Cyke's kid....

Eh, thats all I got.

Nothing that complex. They just reused Cable's character design when he got booted.

GENEXT #4 (of 5)
Written by CHRIS CLAREMONT
Penciled by PATRICK SCHERBERGER
Cover by DOUG ALEXANDER GREGORY
When one of their own is in trouble, the next generation of X-Men doesn’t turn to their parents and grandparents (the original and all-new X-Men)…GeNext takes care of their own. Follow Legendary X-Scribe Chris Claremont as he brings you the adventures of today’s X-Men, if the team aged in real-time. This time, they’re on their own and out from under their predecessors’ shadows to do what they think is right: save their friend! Plus, back-up rarities from Marvel's X-vaults!
48 PGS./Rated A …$3.99

I just got my hands on the first issue and I found each character to be likable. I do hope that the driving plot of the mini is discovering the children's paternity. I'll definitely pick up issue two as well.

Great news for GeNext fans:

X-Men: The End." An aged Cyclops runs the school, but, wracked by guilt over the events of The End, doesn't allow his students to go out adventuring. That's about as successful as it was when Professor X tried to rein in the X-Men. "GeNext" is planned as a 5-issue miniseries, but they've already gotten the green light for a second arc.

GeNext #2 Images. Issue comes out June 11. Sixth member of the team is revealed.

When was there ever said to be a sixth member of the team? Never, from what I can recall. The only team members there are, are the ones we've already met.

I pass by this in my comic shop, is it worth picking up? How do the stories read like?(Astonishing, New, Uncanny, etc.)?

So I gotta ask, being that I haven't seen much of this

If the 90s never happened, how come we have a character that's the son of Gambit and Rogue? Wouldn't Gambit kind of not exist?

It's a sequel to X-Men: The End. GeNext takes place 10 years after Cassandra Nova was defeated and before Kitty became president.

Ahh, fair enough.

Kind of ruins the point of something being called The End, but whatever.

Well, this does take place before Kitty becomes president so maybe it hasn't officially reach the end of the X-Men until she does. After that happens, I guess the X-Men aren't needed anymore since they finally became equals and don't have to worry about the government constantly coming up with ways to exterminate them. Besides that point, GeNext has been a solid read so far.

is this book any good?

No. See below.

Especially when this wasn't supposed to be a sequel to that ****ty series in the first place. Readers voted that they wanted to see a type of story where it would be like the X-Men had aged in real time, not some piece of crap sequel to a piece of crap series that barely anyone liked in the first place.

thanks. Glad I havent wasted any dollars on it

I'm sooo glad they changed the name from Becky to Becka Munroe, as I have wished for a year ago... hmmm, that post of mine is still here I think...

It's supposed to be spelled Munroe right? not Monroe...From what I know. I dont have a clue of who is her father. It could be either of the three Forge, Wolverine or Black Panther. Oh! there would be a major DIVORCE. Why? She's using her mothers last name...Spoiler! (I wish I'm right):) I have a better name for her...Becca. It's more memorable that way. Becky for me is a common name, though her real name could be Rebecca...

Oooh! I found it....Here's my post from 04-24-2006, 01:05 PM
