I like the idea of Cable growing up normally, looking like Nate, and leading the X-Men. I do wonder who his mother is, though, perhaps Jean gave birth as Dark Phoenix. Who knows.

Regardless, I hope this series doesn't go down the cheap X-Kid fanfiction route and just be an expression of someone's favorite pairings. I'm GLAD that Peter isn't Kitty's daughter, it makes it more like a good plot and less like a Sitcom where everyone lives perfect happy lives and all storylines are wrapped up in 22 minutes.

I also hope it doesn't fall into the trap of having children ALWAYS inheirit their parents powers. This isn't true for many mutants: (Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Franklin Richards, Nightcrawler and Nocturne among others). I've always felt their new and versatile powers were much more interesting than just being Mary Sue clones of their parents. MUCH better.

But, I have to admit "Jean has always been dead." Is a GREAT line.

What the he** is this ****! There are so many things wrong with this picture according to the information released and the character sketches. First of all where are Kid Cable and Becky? I know that CANT be them on the cover seeing as how they look nothing like the finalized released pictures. Why does Kid Colossus look really feminine? Is there a story behind that? Why is the Professor in the back round? He should be dead, if this story takes place in real time. WTF is going on? Please tell me this is a fake out, cause it *was* going to be the last book I bought from marvel, ever...

1. Get a grip.

2. Realize that you're *****ing about COVER ART. Anyone with a brain knows that the cover art for titles look nothing like the interior art, and people aren't always so quick to condemn a book on something so stupid as a cover. You're like the poster child for the phrase "Don't judge a book by it's cover."

Why shouldn't I judge the book by its cover...what else do I have to go by. That is why they release the covers. Sometimes it conjurs up a positive reactions, sometimes it doesn't.

Yes, I know that the inside art and story are more often different. But this project has had me excited for a long time. (in a good way) Which is surprising because for the last year, Marvel has been one major ****-up after another, IMHO.

I was thinking, "Wow, Marvel and CC can't **** this up," then I see that cover, and it looks like one major ****up after another.

I was shocked, that's all. I'll still end up buying tho. I'm just tired of the dissapoitnments.

If the characters aged in real time, then I don't think they'd be that old to have kids, or their kids wouldn't be that old. She's most likely a kid of some of the earlier team members, maybe the daughter of Angel, Dazzler, Longshot, or Psylocke or any other older blonde team member.
