I love George Carlin, but that last stand up routine (the one in the video) on HBO was his worst. Now he just b*tches and moans. His old comedy used to be actually funny, not this pessimistic bullcrap.

It's the truth. I still enjoy watching his routines from the 70's and 80's, and even some from the 90's....Now it's more of like watching a debate or a lecture.

Before he was funny so proof was unnecessary because if I laughed, mission accomplished. Now he just lectures and rambles, as Aiden said "like a geriatric".

If your going to be funny, for the most part you don't have to fact check a dang thing. But if your going to stand up on stage and just complain about how bad everything is, I better feel like I'm learning something.

2) Things have gotten so much, expoNENtially worse than they were in his heyday that now it isn't funny anymore, though he still feels the drive to grab the world by it's lapels and yell at the madness, but lacks academic chops.
