I don't know for which option to go, he is definetly not a perfect Peter, but he can work out harder and lose weight. As for the wisecracks, that really isn't his fault if you ask me, he didn't wrote his movie character. But he should've improved it, if he really cared that much. He didn't I guess.

I was always iffy on Toby as Spider-Man. Since S1 I always thought he wasn't that great of an actor. S3 proved that to me. I would love a recast but I know it's not going to happen.

TO me, that's not fair to say that he's not a great of an actor unless you've seen his other films like Plesentville, etc. Otherwise, I can see people saying "Oh, he wasn't the right fit for Spider-Man". That I can buy. Not a bad actor though.

Yeah, I hate when polls are so specific like that.

But I picked no, even though he's not exactly perfect for Peter, he still is a great choice (whether or not that is displayed in the movies is debatable). Anyway, I attach sentimental value to everything; I'm stuck to him like a symbiote.

All I know is that everyone in the theater started laughing when he started crying in Spider-Man 3. That is not the response a good actor gets during what is supposed to be an emotional scene. If he's a good actor in other films then either Raimi doesn't know how to direct him or he doesn't put enough effort in. I don't think it's unfair to say he did a bad acting job in the Spidey films when everyone in the theater finds his attempt at a dramatic scene to be humorous.
