Vote whether you want them to keep Raimi, Maguire and Dunst for SM4 or if you would like to see them bring in a new director and actors for Peter and MJ. You can also state who you'd want to replace them.

Also, don't say:
Keep Raimi as director but get rid of Tobey and Dunst.
Keep Raimi and Tobey but ger rid of Dunst (or vice versa)

They have all stated they would come back if everyone was together again.

Bring on new people. I would like to see David Fincher direct Spiderman 4.

Im open for Raimi to coming back(whether as a director, producer, or whatever) but im not a against a new director.

Tobey, meh if he comes back fine. But Id prefer him to be recasted

As for Dunst, I dont ever want to see her again as MJ.

Overall, sure bring on new people

1 More Time Sam!!!

This cast can't stay forever. Now is the best time to switch cast. Most of them are ready to move on and will demand ridiculous salaries to commit to SM4.

How to take the franchise to the next level:

1) get Alfonso Cuaron or David Fincher as director.

2) get Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Parker, Winstead as MJW, and Maggie Smith for Aunt May.

3) Get writers who are purists at heart and understand the appeal of the characters and mythos.

4) Wait for the money and critical praise to pour in.

With the salary that Tobey Maguire demands you could pay the entire cast and crew of SM4.

All of them.

Exactly. He isn't the box office draw, neither is Dunst. The characters are - and they could be played by anyone. The money they spend on them could be used for greater things (CGI, effects, etc.) in Spider-Man 4 and so on.

I know that the cast can't last forever but there's nothing wrong with being greedy and wanting just one more film with the original cast. I don't want a situation where we reminisce the 'good ol days' if we have an awful new cast for 4.

I agree that money will be made regardless of who is at the helm or wearing the tights. However the quality of the movies could very well decline with someone else. I know a lot of people want to see a Cameron made spidey film. But let's be honest. He's NOT doing it.
Unfortunately after reading that Raimi interview and Maguire flip flop and change his mind, I think we've seen the last of the original cast. That last scene in SM3 is another reason I believe it's over. And it upsets me.

I'll be excited about the next film no matter what. Let's just say if a Jake Gylenhall and Mandy Moore led the movie with a 'hip' director, I'd be a little more cautious in regards to my expectations. No disrespect to those actors because I think they're great, but for spidey? you never know.

I also heard the rumor about Jake and Mandy... I think they could do it as well as Tobey and Kirsten.

I love Mandy and would be happy with her, she'd work out perfectly if MJ finally becomes a big broadway hit. She is gorgeous too  Apparantly she debunked the rumor but it may happen...

I would just hope that if a new cast does come on, regardless of who they are, that they don't try to change the tone of the films. I don't want any crap like McG or anything... :p

Out with the old and in with the new.
Dunst is just horrible, she's not even sexy.
Tmags is dull and boring and lacks natural charisma...and what's up with his mouth when he talks?
Raimi just doesn't get spider-man properly
...These 3 need to make like michael jackson and just beat it.

I voted to keep the cast for SM4.

Right now I just can't see anyone else playing the roles.

Wow, thanks.

Keep Sam, Tobey, Kirsten for sure. they are awesome at making these movies perfect!.

These movies aren't perfect and to be honest Tmags doesn't impress me. One of the reasons why I thought sm3 was so good was because spidey acted more like spidey and guess what, Peter/spidey was only acting that way because...wait for it...he wasn't being himself. I mean come on, if thats how they're going to treat the main character then they can all get lost. We need a new director first and foremost and some bloody new screen writers who knows 2 *****s worth of spider-man, damn.

Judging from what Raimi said about S-M4, Electro, the Vulture and the Sinister Six, I'm not sure I'm all for his return. Also, I'm not a big fan of Kirsten Dunst. Or her portraying MJ.

I have no idea on who should be the director, but as much as I love Fight Club and Se7en (two of my favorite movies), although he is an amazing director, I don't know how well it would fit with Spidey. I have never seen any Alfonso Cuaron movie other than Harry Potter 3, which I thought was absolutely dreadful (and I moderately like the books and thought all of the other movies had been decent).

Jake Gyllenhaal and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

I really want them all to return, but I would be upset if Raimi doesn't return. Part of the reason the Spider-man series is the best superhero franchise is because it has heart and it also focuses on the people involved. That's due all to Raimi. The last thing I'd want is someone else to come in and just make Spider-man another big budget action, special effects crapfest.

I would rather have the wachowski bros(sp?) direct a spidey film than to see Raimi return but in all honesty, I want Zack Snyder (300) to direct.

Why? 300 was good, but not exactly Spider-Man style.

Plus, I need to see the Watchmen first.

Once again the guy was just talkin and throwing s*** out there. Don't expect and sinister six any time soon.

Raimi is considering putting the Sinister Six in SM4. Are we supposed to pretend like he didn't suggest this in a recent interview?

Why? We all know Raimi is insanely big on all the Lee/Ditko classics so it is not a surprise for him to say them and mention the sinister six. I would not put much stock in him saying that. It was not like he officially said he was going that route. These guys say s*** all the time in these interviews that don't mean anything.

I agree with blind fury, except for JGL as Peter.

I'd like Jake and Mandy Moore (or Mary Elizabeth Winstead) to swap with Tobey and Kirsten, and keep everyone else intact. Rosemarry can continue to play Aunt May, J.K Simmons continue as J. Jameson, Dylan Baker as Dr. Connors, etc.

I want the cast back along with David Koep to write the script. Raimi is just the director. Another one won't really affect it.

I'd suggest a whole new team. I think they need some fresh eyes to look at the francise . I've suggested Paul Haggis for the script. As for director maybe Peter Jackson. He and Raimi are friends and they seem to be switching projects anyway:woot: . Plus he's got weta , and I think he'd love to tackle the Lizard. Dylan Baker for the part would be a definate.

As for the cast I would recast the two leads by going younger. I like Milo for Spiderman . I'm not sure who I like for MJ. I know names like Mandy Moore have been throw around but I don't see her in the part. She was good in Saved but i'm not sure if I see her as MJ. Evan Rachel Wood or Clarie Danies would be other suggestions .

I would hope Rosemary Harris would return but if she decidied to sit it out i'd go with Maggie Smith , though it'd be hard to get her out of the Harry Potter francise. I would also Hope JK Simmons would return as JJ. If decided not to for some reason, I'd go with Hugh Laurie(House). I would hope they bring back Elizabeth Banks and Bill Nunn as well.
