Getting a tattoo - discussion and help, if possible

You should have the Fonz jumping over the shark.

I'd definitely go for "not surrounded by circle".

This might be the worst idea for a tattoo I've ever heard.

Otherwise, I dont see much problem - that's hardly the kinda "band tattoo" people regret, I'd think. I like green day and I had no idea it was even related to the band. It's not like the =w= or something. :o

Has any guy ever had a tattoo on [BLACKOUT]the head of his penis[/BLACKOUT]? Just curious.

Considering it was my uncle's (who got me into Green Day) who died in the WTC on 9/11, and told me he thought it would look good on me, I would argue otherwise.

I could always get a skull, or a cross. Originality rocks.

Where are they and why those.
Great white shark is on my right forearm. Got it because they scare the crap out of me.

Serpent/dragon thing is on my right leg. Got it because peer pressure, it was my first and it looks wicked crispy.

Cartoon thing is on my inner leg. Got it because I'm weird.

If I got a tattoo there it would be two big eyes and a big smiling face... so everytime I got "excited" I would have a happy little dude staring up at me.

so I'm getting a tattoo soon. I thought long and hard about what tattoo to get and I'm glad I chose the one I did. I'm getting the warning logo, of a man getting shocked by a bolt. You might recognize it as a Green Day logo. Green Day has been a big part of my life for a long time and I'd love to get a tattoo to pay tribute to them. The tattoo isn't just to express that, though. It demonstrates living without warning ("Live Without Warning" to be tattoo'ed around the circle) and not worrying about the cautions and restrictions other people try to put on you.

This thread isn't to be a discussion on Green Day or bands. It's on tattoos, and more specifically, ones you have.

Also, does anyone have the image below, but larger and clearer? I need one to work with so I can edit the lettering around it but I can't seem to find any pictures of it big and sharp enough. Bigger/sharper, the better. I'll make you a pretty thank you picture if you find it. The colors don't matter; jus the image.

.
I've got a few questions for you.
1. How old are you?
2. Why is Green Day so important in your life?
3. How long have you been wanting this image as a tattoo?
4. Where do you want to put it?
5. How many other tattoos do you have?
See, I ask these questions not so much to know the answers for myself, but to get you to think of them for yourself. Tattoos are permanent. Give it at least a year of thought, if you still want it... go for it. Believe it or not, I just quoted Axl Rose.

I appreciate your questions.

1) I'm almost 19.
2) They were pretty much the first band I seriously was hooked on. When Dookie came out, someone at school had the tape and played it during a Christmas party before us little tots went on winter break. After about 2 minutes of "Longview" they were at the principal's office. This was my first exposure to music that was risky. Before then it was standard music parents bend over backwards for their kids to hear... sing-a-longs and classical music for me. I ended up finding the tape at home a short time later because my dad was a fan of several tracks. "Emenius Sleepus" became my unofficial anthem around the house for a good couple months. I sort of forgot about Green Day though (as any young kid would at that age) until Insomniac came out again. No school incidents this time. I bought it myself while I was at the mall with my mom and cousins. Surprisingly I wasn't asked for a parent despite the yellow warning tag on the tape ( I used tapes until like 1998 actually for some reason). Ever since then I've been a big fan. I don't know... some music just hits you... you can't explain why or how, it just does. You can't change what music you like just like you can't change who you love. I see no intelligence or point in criticizing someone for the music they like asl ong as they are honest about liking it and the reason why they do. Green Day's music has always been there for me. I always tell people to stop worrying about what a band does with their own time, money, or fame. What matters to the fan is the music, right? So judge them on the music. Green Day's music helped me through a lot of tough times with my family, friends, and personal problems. I also think Billie Joe Armstrong is a fantastic lyricist.
3) About half a year.
4) On my left arm, below my shoulder.
5) No other tattoos.

But can you even bring yourself to have it done? *cringe* :(

Hopefully I'm never too drunk or insane to think about that question for more than two seconds:p.

One of my best buds always bragged how he got hundred dollar bills tattooed on his penis. Why?

..cuz he said that was the only way his girls would blow hundreds without him actually losing money. I still don't know if it's true, cuz he is one crazy dude and I wouldn't put it past him to do something like that.

He forgot the part about liking to see his money grow. My friend's said the same thing - pretty sure it's a common enough joke. Tho I wouldn't doubt someone's actually done it. :o

Yeah, I've heard the joke, but like I said, this dude would do anything just for the sake of it, lol. This is the same guy that had sex with his ex-gf while her 7 month old baby was in the same room. :down
