I think the movie´s problem is the lack of talent of MSJ.
It really hurts to say, i was very impressed with the enthusiasm and dedication he puts in the project, the respect with the fans, and all, but the movie is very disappointing.

And now he blames the money?
$ 120 million?!!!
My God...
The Crow had a $ 10 million budget on 94; Blade, $ 40 million on 98.
He couldn´t do something better with 120?
Please, MSJ, thanx for all but that´s enuff.
Drop it.
Come back as an executive producer.
Don´t write or direct GR again, ok?
I´ll ( and most of the GR fans, for sure ) appreciate.

Can you all not read between the lines? Sony has obviously not asked him to come back for a sequel, nor have any plan on doing a second GR. MSJ clearly says "down the line" which pretty much means, he wouldn't mind coming back one day for another but it doesn't look like Sony has offered it to him. He also says there that he's working on other stuff. Now come on, would he be working on other stuff is GR2 was coming anytime soon? He also says there that he's getting tired of comic book movies and wants to do something else. This is not the MSJ I know of. Not too long back, MSJ was interviewed by these same guys, IGN, and said he could do comic book films for the rest of his life and never get bored of them. Just another sign that Sony doesn't want him back so he's already trying to get other work.

Bottom line: Don't expect a Ghost Rider 2, especially one directed by Mark Steven Johnson, unless it's "later down the line"...

I know I'll be repeating mine and others' sentiments, but if there is a GR 2, go Dan Ketch. Seriously, there's more that can be done with that character than Johnny Blaze. MSJ already said he wants to use Blackout and/or Vengeance in the next GR movie (see above).

Well...I suppose a comparison is difficult since JB and DK were possessed by different demons; JB had an angry, vicious one, whereas DK's was actually about avenging the innocent.

What I meant was that DK was much more willing to get into the fray if it meant helping someone out. JB always wanted to hold GR back even if he could help someone out.

But that's why I say (along with a few others here) do a reboot and use DK, and forget the first film ever happened. That way, we start anew and there is no confusion.

SuperHero Hype talked to Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige about the upcoming slate of Marvel films.

When asked about the possibility of a Ghost Rider 2, Feige said "Not that I've heard, I know they're promoting the DVD right now. But no discussions yet."

They probably got a wakeup call when the response to Ghost Rider was a negative one. Let's hope that makes them give us an awesome second movie.

If MSJ does the GR sequel, he'll surely come up with something better than FF2, which was the worst of the Marvel sequels. Its worse than Elektra Trinity, which isnt even something thats real.
