It wasn't just because of the Cartoons guys. X-Men were HUGE in comics when Byrne was drawing them. It can't really be explained Why X-Men became so popular, it just happened.

GR, Man-Thing, Werewolf byNight, Dracula , Zombie and the living Mummy , were all part of the very end of a Monster craze that had been going on for YEARS. Werewolf By Night #5 was my Actual 1st Comic I bought on my own. I was heavy into the movie monsters, had all the Aurora Models, monster mags and what not.
My neighbor had all the superhero comics, me the monsters.

Lets have him actually kick some ass instead of giving his enemies the evil stare, if yah know what I mean. I liked the movie, but he defeated everyone a little too easy. He can use the eye thing against human criminals, but the super villains should actually fight him.

I'd rather have them go with Danny Ketch for a sequel, if not, have Cage switch up his Johnny Blaze. I didn't really like his cocky daredevil like attitude he had. I'd rather have him be a drunky/drug abuser maybe or just a little depressed like. Not emo. But just a little less cheery and sarcastic.

Maybe it's just me.

I'll second that, I'd rather see Danny Ketch. A more depressed Johnny Blaze would work too, considering Blaze was always down in the dumps since GR entered his life in the comic.

Only problem is, a Dan Ketch movie is highly unlikely. Cage seems pretty set on returning for a sequel, and since Avi Arad isn't the sort of person who seems to care for good movies these days, it probably won't happen.

Plus Johnny Blaze has already been established; a new character so soon might seem rather rushed.

Very true, but Hulk/Batman re-boots came like 3+ years after the initial movie. Some people might think a new GR film is too soon. That's how I felt when I heard about the new Hulk film.

If GR was to recreated and redone, it really couldn't happen before 2010. I think 2012 might be ideal.

That is the key point as to why there should be no ketch movie.........there is also the fact that JB is the better GR Doesn't matter who plays JB, it should still be JB. If Tobey M decides not to do anymore spiderman are they gonna say its not peter parker?

I see no reason to have to wait anymore than 3 years at the most.

If the GR movie had had longer fight scenes and been a little darker and less cornball, most of the people that complained about the movie wouldn't have complained much if at all.

We shouldn't have to wait anymore than we wait for Hulk2 and theres no need to switch characters and origins and all that crazy stuff. The first Hulk was similarly bashed and I believe they are just tightening up quality control and injecting more action, I don't believe they are gonna say its not bruce banner and come up with another origin that deviates from the first movie origin, nor should they.

All they gotta do is darken it up(rated r would help), and make sure there is a plenty of action and all will be fine regardless of who plays JB.

No way, JB was such a wimp...Zarathos was badass ya, but the man himself was bleh. Dan Ketch was like Peter Parker; a kid who had to control the great powers he had been bestowed upon him.

According to MSJ...

The money situation was again the reason why the action was less than he would've liked.

Though, according to his interview, all those models and everything is already completed from the first movie, so there will be more money left for the bigger and badder action sequences.

One thing that bothers me from all of this is that they keep bringing up the money situation and how the CGI fire this and the CGI money that... just seems like they're using that as an excuse, which I wish they didn't.

Anyways, hopefully the sequel will have bigger and better action sequences that will really show off those qualities of Ghost Rider.

It really hurts to say, i was very impressed with the enthusiasm and dedication he puts in the project, the respect with the fans, and all, but the movie is very disappointing.
