Ghost Rider 2 underway

Im glad Paul Anderson aint doing it, I hope also that they make it Rated R. The biggest fans of Aliens and Predators are people who watched the movies, all of which were R-rated...dont do this PG 13 crap again...

theres gunnah be a AVP2? is it gunnah be about the alien/predator thing that came out of the dead predator? when i saw that scene i was like "wtf". i dont see how an alien would be able to infest a predator, less the predator was knocked out or restrained or whatever. it shoulda been able to catch it or tear it off or at least eat it or something. you see the teeth on the predator? i dunno, im not like a BIG fan of either movie series rele. i do like the predator movies better than the alien series. i bet someones gunnah post saying something like "this isnt an AVP forum, lets please get back to talking about GR." oh well.

Yes, the directors said they will be using the Predator/Alien hybrid.

Now back to GR! there it is, no more waiting lol

I sympathize my friend.

But I have some hopes for AvP 2...Paul Anderson isn't directing it. :woot: The two brothers who did the special FX for the X-Men movies are. So let's not freak out yet. Let's wait and see.

Thing is though, the budget is about $20 million less, and its set in Texas, TEXAS! I dont have high hopes for AVP 2.

I think someone from AICN posted a synopsis of this movie some time ago.

It sounds completely horrible.

However, special effects guys are usually fun to at least watch what they can come up with. The best part about the first AVP were the creatures and the effects, so maybe it will be decent... maybe.

I'm not holding my breath but i will see how people react to it when it comes out.

I'm not really banking on a GR sequel.

This should teach the Arads to keep their mouths shut until a film is actually released.

Oh i dont know, if the DVD does well i think Sony will greenlight a sequel.

Well, no, they are talking about it but nothing has been greenlit yet.

I dunno if DK would be worth it after they put so much of his character in the first movie. I know he has a different origin and story, etc, but a lot of him was in the first movie.

GR2....well now they have origins out the way, they could maybe make a good movie? Learn from their mistakes?

Hopefully yeah, 2 seems to be the magic number with Marvel movies, IMO every 2nd installment of a Marvel movie, so far has improved on the original.

I'd disagree, lol. SM1 is my fav SM, blade 1 also, but X2 was the best also...

I hope this Lawsuit doesn’t negatively impact the sequel chances.. hopefully Marvel’s lawyers will make this go away..

This thread was made before the first film was even released.

But yeah, if a sequel was made, it'd probably be better. We wouldnt have to worry about a backstory. We get straight into the action.

I agree about X2 being the best, but i also thought that Blade II and Spiderman 2 exceeded their (admittedly excellent also) predecessors.

Exactly

That's madness.

Anyway, GR made around the same as the original X-Men did, it got a sequel, and kept making more. Here's hoping The Rider ends up this way.

But as much as I enjoyed the first film, MSJ had best smarten up and listen to what people's complaints were and address these. Not to mention X-Men was, and still is, infinitely more popular than Ghost Rider.

I agree...while I liked GR more than many of the other "hero" films I've seen, there are some things to polish up.

It is interesting to note that GR made around as much as the first X-Men flick did...and X-Men is a lot more popular than GR, comic wise.

The original Crow movie...by comparison pulled in 94 million bucks worldwide.

X-Men was really famous before Singer's film?

Anyway, I never really liked the first X-movie.

X-men was more popular than GR as a comic due to the cartoon series, that's what really imbedded it in the publics mind. Spiderman is the perfect example.

GR had a much bigger and better marketing campaign than X1 did also.
