THE 'PROLOUGE' ACT.
Before the main action begins, Blaze's past set in 1980.
We see Caretaker become a Ghost Rider. He defies the devil, so expect- probably- a cool conflict between the two later on in the film.
The opening scene deals all with the contract of San Venganza- which has become a creepy ghost town due to Memphistoles collecting everyone's soul and using Caretaker to carry this out. In the end, however, Caretaker does not hand the contract to the devil because it will be too dangerous in his possession- so he escapes with it. Taking us to opening of the film.
Tragedy of San Venganza:Metting an inscrutable old man called Caretaker, John Blaze learns about the tragedy of San Venganza. Mepthistopheles arrived in this town 150 years agom and corrupted its inhabitants by offering them great wealth in exchange for their souls. Sending in his Ghost Rider, Mepthistopheles orderd him to use his powers to collect the souls onto a scroll- the Covenant of San Vnganza.
The scene has an eerie, western, adventure feel to it. So far, MSJ definitely has done a great job with the screenplay.
