Ghostbusters 3

Year One was just watching something for the sake of watching something, I wasn't getting anything from it...it was just there on the screen....solely for the purpose of being there....if that makes any sense.

It makes perfect sense to me as thats how I felt about the movie. It didnt add or take anything away from my life, it was just THERE lol

They're never making a third one, are they? :csad:

I'm starting to believe that this won't even happen.

By the time this happens, the Director is going to need to perform a seance on set to get the original cast into the film.

Prediction:

Sam Worthington will play all four of the new Ghostbusters. And the love interest.

There was a glimmer of hope last year around the time of the videogame but now...

You would've hoped that they would've been much further along in the production process by now then they were then.

2 years ago, "The Office" guys were writing a draft...

...and they still are.

Yeah, I just don't think its gonna happen.

What I don't understand is why Dan and Harold won't write it?

Lets just pray that idiot annoying actors like Efron, Cera, Rogen or Shia are NOT cast in this GB3 film.

It would ruin it.....

Yeah, I really hope Rogen stays the hell away from this. Shia too... even though I like him, he's starring in way too many franchise movies.

LONG LIVE CERA AND ROGEN.

I'm a fan of Cera and Rogen, but I think a movie won't do too much for their careers. Same thing with Shia.

I'm sorry it's probably inevitable, it's a comedy and they need work. :oldrazz:

I'm willing to bet this will be like spider-man 4...well, not rebooted, just canned.

Screw it, just set the next one in the distant future when the original Ghostbusters have all long since died - that way all that the original actors need to do is just sit down in a recording booth to voice their CGI "ghost" counterparts, since that's about all that can apparently be managed in getting them back together for another go-round. :oldrazz:

In all seriousness, though...part of me is just not excited about the prospect of a third Ghostbusters movie anymore, especially with so much time passed since the last one came out. Another sequel twenty-or-thereabout years after the last film didn't work for Superman, it didn't work for Indiana Jones, and to be perfectly honest I've yet to see anything to convince me that it'll work for Tron.

Ghostbusters 3 is the new Duke Nukem Forever

I blame everything on Year One, that piece of bull****.

Yeah, I think that really shook Murray's faith in Ramis, who of course is just as involved in the writing process as Akroyd.

Anyhow, if this ever does happen, I maintain that the perfect cast would be as follows:

Charlie Day (as Oscar):

With these folks as the supporting Ghostbusters

Dule Hill:

Josh Radnor:

In fact, I'd argue that Ramis should consider bringing in the Sunny guys to help the script. Howerton, McElhenney, and Day have some of the freshest comedic voices today and were clearly at least partially inspired by Ramis and Akroyd's work (hell, they did a Ghostbusters parody episode of Sunny that proves that). Getting those three to work with Akroyd and Ramis on a script to make the concept funny and relevant to a modern audience would work really well, I think.
