I think you're overthinking this a bit too much. Day can pass for a twenty-something as can Roday. Beyond that, I don't think anyone will care all that much if they retcon Oscar's age by a couple years. Hell, they're already retconning his father. What is a year or two? The Ghostbusters timeline is not so tightly weaved that a small cosmetic tweak could not be made.

Look, you could throw any number of names out there right now & people will either go, "Eww, no overexposed much?", or they'll go, "Who is that person?, I'll pass". So whats the point at the end of the day. No matter who's picked a large majority will be pissed & the movie as a whole will probably flop due to people not liking the casting in the movie. I personally would just leave the franchise alone & leave 1 & 2 in the 80's where they belong & where they're cherished.

Honestly, who here would honestly buy Jon Heder being the son of Peter Venkman? Hell, I couldn't even imagine him as somebody who grew up in Venkman's company.

How is any of what I just said pushing my opinions on to others? I wasn't saying "I hate Napoleon Dynamite and so should you." I was stating my opinions. Not pushing. No push at all. You're confused.

People complain about Akroyd and Ramis not scripting, then complain is Ramis helps it will be crap because of Year One. but at the same time, they did write for the video game and it was fantastic. My only complaint was the final boss (SPOILER) was taken out by the same plot device as the first film. Direct contact with the villian this time, albiet in an alternate dimension rather than blasting the doorway from which Gozer came, but the same basic idea. Not to mention the video game kind of made it so Gozer was an extreme loser despite being so badass in the old days.

As I said before you could throw 100 names out there & people will trash it, they'll find an excuse to hate on the actor & move on to another one just as ridiculous. It's a no win situation. How many times are people here gonna trash an actor, then when the actors cast in the film, find they suited the role fairly well & then learn from that pre judgemental mistake?.

I don't think that anyone is upset about Ramis, what we are suggesting is that it may make Murray reluctant. Murray has publicly stated that Year One has given him reservations about GB3.

/film has a new article up on the film. Its a interview with dan. Where he defends the office writers first draft fom what bill said about them awhile ago. Then it goes to say dan and possible harold are going to do a draft.
