I am a PROUD 80s kid and I still want to be a Ghostbuster only if I get to drive the carAs an 80's kid, I can vouch for this.

love that shot of the Ecto 1 doing that 180 it has to be tough to get a car that big and heavy to move like that damn
I do remember Jason Reitman saying something about Ecto-1A or something about GBII that was gonna be addressed moving forward. Can't remember the exact quote.Real Ghostbusters was just excellent back in the day, but it is a cartoon and wrapped in 22 minutes. I just hope they don't forget is the lore, and motivation and development for the villains and heroes.
Ecto is still badass. . . . They're still using 1. Wonder if 1A will come up. Or if we'll see maybe the Ecto 2 copter, or ecto 3 go kart
So what about that whole thing about Ray saying the firehouse was turned into a Starbucks?
The after credits scene in Afterlife with Winston showed he had bought the firehouse back and Ecto 1 driving into it.
Yeah, but it wasn't a Starbucks. It looked abandoned like it hasn't been used since the 90's.

That's a bit of a leap
Exactly. There's no indication it was ever a Starbucks. Even the doors are the same. Starbucks would've broken down those doors during the remodeling.
You can fill the gaps as you please and you might make some sense out of it, but at the end of the day I think they just made a minor mistake.
Ghostbuckstars (?)Possibly/probably. For me it ultimately doesn't really matter. Star Bucks could quite easily kept the firehouse as is for a tourist attraction.
Then the wording of his joke makes no sense. Are we sure Ray wasn't just making a joke about it becoming a Starbucks?
Yeah, to me I just took it as they kept the interior looking the same. Like if you've ever been to a brewery that used to be a bank or something and they still have a big vault in there and it very obviously used to be a bank but it gives the place a little character. And in-universe we'd be talking about a famous location with a lot of history for NYC and the world.
Either way too much has been made about this.
I mildly like what we've seen so far. The frozen aesthetic isn't too exciting but the film having a new villain and gimmick is greatly appreciated. Looks like there's more to do for Carrie Coon and Paul Rudd which is good too. Glad to return to the city, and away from long, loving gazes at dusty props (I hope). The shot of the group in their winter uniforms was cute. "Cool new suits!" for the Ghostbusters = matching coats with logos on.
