Girl Dies, Parents didn't pray hard enough.

We need to spay and neuter religious people like this.

The mother believes the girl could still be resurrected, the police chief said.
Good luck with that.

beg to differ

Same here. What happened when her siblings start getting sick? Their parents will start praying again, and before you know it the child is dead. The social workers really should take those kids away.

so one day there was a man who was swimming in the middle of the ocean after his boat sank.

Later a boat comes up to him and a person on board shouts "hey mister, you need help!?"

The man in the ocean said " No thank you, God will save me"

later Another boat went over to him and said " hey you, you look like you need help!"

the man said again " No thank you, god will save me"

Hours later the man became to tired and drowned

Moments later the man arrived at heaven and said " Hey God why didn't you save me!?"

God replied "I sent two boats to you, Ya Dummy!"
ROFL

I can't stop laughing at this

I don't know of any Christian Religion in my experience that would tell their parishioners to pray and not get medical help.

Christ Scientists, they are exempt from buying health insurance in US because its against their religion.

Ah, the old "Why would a loving God let this happen?" question. Let me explain it.

Her death will set in motion a necessary chain of events. It's as simple as that. That's what keeps the world going.
Sacrifice an innocent child to do what? Expose a bible study group to the athorities? I don't buy that.

Question: Were they Jehovah Witnesses?

I don't know of any Christian Religion in my experience that would tell their parishioners to pray and not get medical help.

Christian Scientists. It's a bizarre branch of Christianity.

Maybe this story will have a happy ending after all

When they said that in a Pursuit of Happyness, I laughed.

It's not branch of Christianity. It's a cultic off shoot of it. It was founded by Mary Baker Edy, not Christ.
So what exactly does qualify as Christianity, Slim? How do you decide which sect is valid and which is not?

I'm pretty sure that Christ didn't found the many Protestant sects of Christianity, unless you want to argue that Martin Luther is somehow Christ reincarnated.

They believe/and pray to Christ, therefor it is a branch of Christianity. Sorry Slim you can't just pick and chose the best and ignore the worst.

I don't blame the religion , I blame the people that misuse it.

no "sect" is valid... when the church was started, there were no such things as denominations. A denomination is just an attempt to try and put God in a box, so that depending on how you feel that day, you can go to whatever and beleive in any one of these denominations and still be "safe".

I find the use of denominations as a load of crap.

It's those people like John Calvin (1509-1564) and Martin Luther (1483-1506) that misused the Bible and made it into whatever they wanted it to be by slicing, dicing and adding small things to it when people weren't looking.

Don't tell Slim. :o

If you are going to put faith in the existence of a higher power such as God, you must also accept that God, being a being of ultimate power, will do things for reasons that we as mortals cannot begin to comprehend.

I thought Martin Luther and Calvin were trying to break away from the hard-ships of the Catholic church and bring religion back to the people..

I thought Christianity was founded by the Brothers Grimm?

Either way, if "Christ" is their savior, than it's Christianity, deal with it.

This will answer the questions. Not that you'll listen to the facts....you people only look for reasons to bash Christians. They may say Jesus and use the same terms. But they deviate sriously on who God is and even scripture. so click the link and learn something.

Every major religion has a cult or "cults" attached to them. Even Orthodox Islam has the Black Muslims, the 5 percenters, Bah Hai etc.... Black Muslims think they are gods. True Islam considers that to be blasphemy. They are not the same, even though they use the same name for God (Allah) or even call themselves Muslims.

Christianity has the same strange off shoots.

Great, another dangerous, wacko cult riding on the coattails of authentic Christianity. :whatever: It's these sorts of people that give the Christian Faith a bad name. Atheists will drag up these extremists to prove their hate filled points.

Nah. I mean, I'm athiest and I can use my common sense to determine these people are just a hand full of wackos and I know most Christians aren't anything like that.
