Enjoy. After you get by the first two episodes (which are a bit stilted) the Fall set (Episodes 1-13) are amazingly entertaining and addictive. The show has still been trying to reach the peak of the Fall Finale for almost a year now. Too early to tell if season 2 will recapture that magic.

But do enjoy.

Heather Morris' amazing dancing and brilliant deadpan delivery is just that, amazing and brilliant. Seriously, give her more to do, like in this episode, and there will be a Best Supporting Actress nom in her future.

i'm hoping it will (recapture the magic). 'audition' def felt like f13 episode, while 'britney/brittany' felt like a b9 ep. still liked it though.

"I thought from now on I was the only one who did solos, next week I will do a song by Kesha."

Ha, that's funny because I consider the first two episodes to be two of the best. After that, I feel the show went somewhat downhill overall. I mean, there have definitely been some great (and perhaps better) episodes here and there, but I still find myself missing the darker, biting tone of the Pilot sometimes. And I've still never laughed harder at a musical number than I did at "Push It." But I agree as the series went on, it became just plain addictive, flaws and all.

Yeah. I do think this is Heather's year to get a Supporting Actress nom, but if she gets nominated against the Modern Family cast and Jane Lynch, she'll probably lose. :(

That's a bit of an exaggeration, dont you think?

Eh, either way. It was still far from the best, so I cant fight you too much on this one.

I think it was a combination of her mediocre dancing and then her over emoting while singing. Does she do that on Broadway or is she just a really bad lip-syncher?

One) There is no lip syncing on Broadway. And does she emote on Broadway? Yes. It's called acting.

Two) Her dancing is okay, but other than Heather Morris and Harry Shum Jr, who were actually dancers before they became actors, no one can dance like Britney in the cast. So you can't hold that against Lea Michele.

Three) So she sang it with emotion and in a different (and in my opinion better) note than Britney did. Big whoop. Rachel Berry is not going to sing a Britney Spears song the way Britney Spears sings a Britney Spears song, just like she didn't sing Only Exception like Hayley Williams would.

I'm just saying it was a bad choice for that character and the actress. It did no favors for her at all and didn't serve the plot either, it just seemed a way to give Rachel another solo.

I think that was one of the problems I had with this episode. While most of the performances were good, they didn't make ANY attempt to make the songs fit the storylines that were going. They were just shoehorned in as hallucinations of the original Britney videos. Whoever wrote the episode didn't have much creativity.

"I'm A Slave 4 U" with the lyrics about a girl finally coming into her own was perfect for the Britney character with them giving her more of the spotlight this episode.

"Stronger" was another great match for the Artie character but I thought they went about it the absolute wrong way.

"Hit Me Baby One More Time" as I have already said was a terrible choice for the character and the actress. Made no sense and felt very forced. It would have been a perfect match for the Quinn character in reference to her relationships with Puck or Finn.

While "Me Against the Music" was totally awesome it really didn't fit with any storyline either. Thought maybe "You Drive Me Crazy" would have worked well paired with Tina and Mike Chang.

"Toxic" was fine but the whole school going crazy thing was waaaay too over the top and frankly, having Mr. Schu sing and dance with the club during that song was just down right skeevy.

And last, if we absolutely had to end the episode with another melodramatic ballad by Rachel, couldn't it have been at least a Britney ballad? "Everytime", "Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman" or "Sometimes" would have been perfect. Having her randomly do a Paramore song after a entire episode full of Britney Spears was bizarre.

I just feel like this show is getting very close to losing what they originally started out with. Quinn, Puck, Kurt, Mercedes & Tina have been practically ignored, the new football player from last week just up and disappeared and the Rachel character has just be absolutely unbearable.

I think the writers are buying into all the hype at this point and losing control of the show.

Really? I've thought both new episodes were ALOT better than the back 9, but to each his own. I think people are going a little overboard with the ''THE WRITERS ARE LOSING CONTROL OF THE SHOW!" after 2 EPISODES.

Do you even know the lyrics to Hit Me Baby One More Time? It was clearly about her relationship to Finn.

They were pretty clearly just out to do a fluff episode, so that's fine with me now and then, so long as it's entertaining fluff; and, really, this was a Brittany spotlight. She's pretty much pure, random comic relief, so that may be the best course to take with her.

Santana's dialogue was on fire this week.

Oh I'll agree it's fluff, but it was entertaining fluff and it made sense. And to be fair, you can't really do a non-fluff episode with Britney Spears music.

With that said, Artie really is getting more and more annoying to me. I didn't care for his revelation and his motivation this season is just annoying; just as annoying as Rachel's heightened **tchiness.:down

Frankly, you need to do this with every Glee episode. I've never seen you not complain about an episode. At this point you only watch for Jane Lynch so just tape it and watch only her scenes already.

:whatever: I am watching in the hopes that it recaptures the greatness of the first half of season 1. Unfortunately, like Family Guy before it, this show has bought into its own hype. I watch hoping it recovers, because when it gets it right, it is one of the most clever shows on television.

Quinn, Puck, Kurt, Mercedes & Tina?

You say they are getting ignored. Last episode Quinn got head cheerleader back? Remember that? This week she seemed pretty lonely and out of the loop of the dating world, we know she's going to have more stuff coming up in Episode 4 and 5. Including singing.

Tina has had her stuff with Artie and Mike and has had plenty of face time because of it. Had a snippet of singing in the premiere and looks to be leading on One Of Us next week.

Mercedes, Puck, and Kurt all sing next week (Puck and Mercedes have already sang so far) and look like they all have pretty big roles in the next week's episode.

Overreaction much?

I just wish that they had Kurt burst out into a Britney song when Schue tried to tell them they couldnt do Britney. Maybe Circus would be good for him.

I'm kinda glad they didn't.

It would of come across ''Of course, the gay kid has to sing in a Britney Spears episode! Get it! Get it! Cause only gay people listen to Britney Spears, right, right?" :awesome:

Did you miss that he was the one who was pushing for them to do Britney Spears? It wouldve made perfect sense for him to do a song. Now if he was against it then ya but not when he is the entire reason for the episode basically.

Yea that was weird as well. Kurt was the one that brought up the entire idea and he didn't even get a solo.

This episode was just all over the place.
