We're two episodes in. Haha.

I think her story line gets started in Episode 4.

"That's what they said about a young man in Chicago in 1871, who thought he'd play a harmless prank on a dairy cow of one Mrs. O'Leary. He successfully ignited its flatulence and the city burned, William. That young terrorist went on to become the first gay president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln."

I dont know which is better, this or the Ladybird Johnson quote.

The Abraham Lincoln one is funnier to me, because there is some possible truth to it, because during Lincoln's time there were talks of him being homosexual.

THANK YOU.

Everyone is overreacting about this season so far acting like the sky is falling, when we've only had 2 episodes and the next few episodes kick off everyone's plotlines.

I can see Artie doing this sometime this season, especially given his storyline this year...

I have 5 episodes to go in season 1, but I wanted to post some thoughts:

-I wish there was more of a sense of ensemble; it’s a great cast (and a big one), and I think every dynamic that’s been explored works, so let’s explore more dynamics, within the glee club. Part of me wants to see glee go back to 5 members somehow, because, for as many times as they’ve all been referred to as friends, only a few of them are (Rachel/Finn, Kurt/Mercedes, Brittany/Santana). This doesn’t need to be Friends, but still, I want to see the group being a group more.
-This show’s done a pretty good job of giving us characters who are obviously types (or stereotypes), but not harping on the points that make them so until they’re irritating caricatures. Finn’s the dumb jock, but he’s not just that; Quinn’s the (b)itchy cheerleader, but she’s not just that (and kind of evolves beyond that), and so on. That’s a really tricky thing, so I hope they can keep it up, I hope the show doesn’t become too caricatured.
-Wow, I hated Terri from minute one. I get what her logic was, but I don’t care: faking a pregnancy?! Plus, that plotline ran on a bit too long; I was so glad when Will left her. And damn, Matthew Morrisson is good!
-Quinn and Puck dropped off the radar so quickly after “Sectionals,” it gave me whiplash.
-I’m kind of surprised they didn’t save Quinn singing “Papa Don’t Preach” for the Madonna show.
-Here she is again: I loved Quinn doing “You Keep Me Hangin' On” in episode 7 – it was kind of a breath of fresh air and the song was a pretty good fit (although there are some lyrics that seemed to fit Finn better than Quinn – “’cause you don’t really love me, baby/you just keep me hangin’ on,” for instance - but then again, I don’t want to see Finn do The Supremes, so I’m good). Quinn should sing more often.
-Santana does not bring nearly enough to the Brittany/Santana duo.
-“Throwdown” = one of the best episodes of television I’ve seen recently. A full-on Will/Sue battle for the heart of glee?! I love it!

Favorite Sue Sylvester Quotes:
-I don't trust a man with curly hair. I can't help but picture birds laying sulfurous eggs in there, and I find it disgusting.
-You think this is hard? Try being waterboarded, THAT'S hard!
-I will go to the animal shelter and get you a kitty cat. I will let you fall in love with that kitty cat. And on some dark, cold night, I will steal away into your home...and punch you in the face.
-I’ll often yell at homeless people, “Hey, how’s that homelessness working out for you? Why don’t you give not being homeless a try?

Favorite Brittany Quotes:
-Sometimes I forget my middle name.
-I find recipes confusing.
-When I pulled my hamstring, I went to a...misogynist.
-I think my cat is reading my diary.

I spent most of yesterday sitting around watching Glee, so needless to say, this is one highly watchable, really enjoyable show.

i agree with all of what you just said, except the Santana part. i think the added screentime she has gotten helped her out a lot. the first couple of episodes i didnt know anything about her. at all. nor did i care. but shes become one of my favorites on the show.

FRONT 13
Pilot - 4 songs (5 in directors cut)
Showmance - 4 songs
Acafellas - 3 songs
Preggers - 1 song
Rhodes - 4 songs
Vitamin-D - 2 songs
Throwdown - 4 songs
Mash-Up - 4 songs
Wheels - 3 songs
Ballad - 6 songs
Hairography - 5 songs
Mattress - 3 songs
Sectionals - 4 songs

We need to get back to this. 7 songs in one episode is getting out of hand. Especially when so many of them serve no purpose.

Yeah. It's sad that Ryan Murphy was all ''We're going to focus more on the plotlines and less on the singing this year."

But we have 7 songs in Episode 3, 6 in Episode 4, 7 in Episode 5 and 5 songs in Episode 1 and 6 songs in Episode 2.

I like their singing, really I do, but I wish they'd pull away from TOO much music.

OMG Sawyer, thanks for that quote. That's definitely my new sig quote of the week.

They're such a cute couple. I know end game is probably Artie/Tina, but I really really really think Artie's become too much of a *****e. Mike and Tina really seem into one another.

Mike Chang :atp:

Glad you are enjoying it. Sounds like you have the general consensus of the first 13 episodes being great and fun, while the back 9 were a bit too campy and cliche that dropped the ball on all not Finn-Rachel-Kurt characters. And we all love Brittana! Santana brings a lot to the show, though I do think.

....

Everyone who said Season 2 isn't this or that. Quinn isn't in it enough or Puck isn't in it enough. Or where is Kurt's boyfriend?

We're just two episodes in, we don't know what season 2 is going to really be yet and I think Quinn will stay on Glee before she leaves for Spidey. But I hope she does both.

My opinion of course.

yeah, mercedes and kurt are the central characters next week (grilled cheesus) and tina and mike the week after that (duets). quinn and puck will get their chance to shine soon enough.

Quinn and Same are also main characters in the Duets episode, so my knowledge.

Yeah, I mean, I'm not minding it so much with Grilled Cheesus because I'm actually enjoying most of the songs, but he actually said that they would be toning down the use of music this year and yet episode 3 has the same amount of songs as, like, three of the front 13 episodes put together.

i remember RM saying that they were going to keep the number of songs per episode around 5 in season 2. hopefully, they will tone it down soon.

By the way, I saw in an interview Ryan Murphy said that he will have Britana kiss several times in a episode he directs in the fall. IMDB only has directors lissted for the first 5 episodes--and he directs the Rocky Horror episode. So keep an eye out Britana fans.

Just letting it be known.

Wahoo, Christmas present!

This came on the radio when I was driving today, and it struck me as being a great song for Glee to do as a group number, especially as the vocals and instrumentation become more layered as the song progresses.

Adam Shankman is directing The Rocky Horror episode, I bet the one Ryan Murphy is referring to is episode 6 ''Never Been Kissed''.
Amid the commotion, Chris Colfer is geeking out over the script for Episode 6, newly delivered from the writers. "It's so good, but oh, it's gonna be controversial," says the actor, who was nominated for an Emmy for his portrayal of out-and-proud glee clubber Kurt. "I know we're going to get critics saying the show has gone too gay."

It needs to be handled well. If they are just kissing for the sake of having them kiss or shock value, lame. If it is supported by a strong plot, then good.
