Mike O'Malley is a big fan, apparently.

"Born to Run" at the Emmys was great; I'd like to see the show do its own full version of that.

What did she call Santana's books? Juicy somethings. .

It was something like "juicy, ripe, vine fruit" I think.

I loved how she explained putting her on the bottom of the pyramid so her boobs would save the team from harm.lol

So did the actress really get new boobs?

Funny that they worked it into the show, though...:hehe:

I seriously doubt that. They just needed a reason for Quinn to even be considered for captain over Santana, and chose a boob job, lol.

Anyway, decent premiere. I could've done without Coach Beiste's crying - I was already feeling sorry for her, so that just seemed like a little much. But happy the show is back! Next week looks kind of epic, even though I'm certainly no Britney fan.

But speaking of Brittany, her deadpan delivery of "stop the violence" during the Quinn/Santana fight was probably the biggest laugh of the night for me.

I ask because they look bigger in that pic someone posted of the cast members a few pages ago...

She's wearing a padded bra.

"Mike tries to be into the things that I'm into...like his abs."

Solid premiere overall; the songs apart from "What I Did For Love" and "Listen" weren't especially interesting when I listened to them just as audio, but, as usual, the live performance added considerably to the others.

I liked the Finn/Artie friendship stuff; platonic relationships apart from Kurt and Mercedes frequently don't get a lot of focus on the show.

Next week looks sexcellent.:awesome:

Anyone else caught Jane Lynch on an episode of icarly?

Such a great premiere. I loved it. I can't wait to see where Sunshine and Sam go.

The Coach Beiste crying bit was a bit too dramatic but other than that it felt like a season 1.0 episode instead of 1.5. Hopefully it keeps that up.

I'm a sucker for sappy things like Coach Beiste crying. :o

Coach Beiste's crying got me. I felt bad for her. I love that she's a bit hard, but a real softie on the inside, I love those characters. It's kind of why I like Sue. Otherwise she'd just be a crazy *****.

I agree, but I got all that before the crying scene. The actress had already conveyed that well. When they added the crying scene, it just felt like, "IN CASE YOU MISSED IT BEFORE, YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO FEEL SORRY FOR THIS CHARACTER NOW!" It was really heavy-handed, imo.

I didn't really feel that way at all. I find many things on the show forced from time to time. This, for me, wasn't one of those things. Kinda felt natural.

I will say I did like how it played into the confrontation with Finn. That didn't feel nearly as contrived as it should have, as the two characters were totally behaving in character in that moment, and the misunderstanding between them seemed perfectly natural due partly to her emotional state.

It did to me too. I got that she was sad and felt bad for already when she was talking to Will about him being cool and how they got that wrong, because Dot Jones was amazing in the scene, but the crying just felt natural.

She's probably gotten it everywhere and thought that maybe this school would be different, so I can see why she'd cry and it felt natural.

I agree, the flip out on Finn was brilliant. But as Flick said, I already got that she was upset when she left the cafeteria. She should've been the one to enter the locker room, not Finn and Artie.

Honestly though, I really don't want to feel bad for her. If hey are trying to make Sue likable, then we need a proper villain. Dot Jones played it great, so I don't hold it against her as much as I do the writers.

Also, does anyone else find it strange that Will does not know that his best friend (even if estranged) had a nervous break down?

Damn, I had no idea it was possible to be shorter than Rachel...

If hey are trying to make Sue likable,

Sue is still very much the bad guy. "Likable" people don't send the promising new singer to the competition.
