Just saw the episode on hulu. I liked it a lot. All the Sue one liners and Brittney sexual harassment scene was great. I thought it was funny in the beginning when they adressed people not liking Will's rapping. And his reaction was great. I thought overall the episode was pretty good. Not preachy like the latter half of last season.

I think I will change my name to Boobs McGee.

I don't mean my screen name, I mean legally.

For the record. Chord is amazing. Charice is amazing. Dot is amazing.

Make all three of them regulars already.

I honestly had never heard of Charice before last night. Is she an actress or singer (now I guess she's both)? I have seen Chord before on some TV show though. Just can't remember where. He looks familiar.

By trade, she's a singer; she's the only Asian artist to make the Billboard Top 10, and one of the major successes of the YouTube era (she was "discovered" after she posted a lot of videos on it).

Have they confirmed yet if Emma is singing Touch-A Touch-A Touch-A Touch Me or not?

She is.

Rachel may quite possibly be one of the worst, irritating, most insufferable characters on television at the current moment for me. Every time she's on screen it just makes me want to change the channel.

Why do they keep shoving her and the actress down our throats with every solo when clearly the actress that plays Mercedes is funnier and a better singer (Charice now too) than her.

Don't know about that. Mercedes and Charice are good yes, but Lea has a more diverse range, and is more of a technically refined singer.

Y'know, I liked Rachel in season 1. Yeah she was *****y, self-centered and cruel--but so were all the characters on Glee. The only relationships that were actually nice to each other were Quinn and Mercedes and Brittany and Santana--ah Brittana.

But Rachel was REALLY UNLIKABLE in this episode. I mean her racism and then duet with Sunshine where she looked like she wanted to eat her (while Sunshine thinks they're having fun) was hilarious. But then by the end of the episode I had absolutely ZERO sympathy for her as she sings still deluding herself as being a selfless person.

I think it would be really brave and unique for a network TV show to make their lead protagonist a completely unlikable human being. We're not talking Tony Soprano here or the cast of Deadwood. But a primetime 8pm network TV show called "Glee."

They'll never do it, but I'd like to see her become a villain. Or Santana. Quinn had too much character development last season for her to just revert back to the "mean girl." Been there, done that.

Doubt this will happen though.

Again--this was I think one of the best episodes Glee has had since the fall finale last year. Strong stuff.

She comes off way too technically trained and Broadway fake too me whereas Amber Riley and Charice just seem more raw, powerful and commanding.

Uhhh...duh. Because Lea came from Broadway. If we're gonna complain about her, then we might as well complain about Matthew as well.

Broadway fake? I don't even know what that means.

But, Amber Riley proved with her botched version of And I'm Telling You last season that she's not all that great. For me, the only female character who has yet to come close to Lea/perform better is Idina Menzel. Her Funny Girl last season was perfection.

I guess I just prefer the other two ladies voices, Lea just doesn't do it for me.

I will admit I am more predisposed to liking more "diva style" voices. Charice just gave me goosebump during "Listen" and Amber Riley is just amazing to me in whatever she sings.

I think if they really want to bring in a rival for Rachel, they need to find another female bway girl like she was. Bring in Sasha Allen, or Emily Padgett.

I think the best "technical" performance that is a favorite of mine was Kristen Chenoweth singing "Maybe This Time" in a season one episode last fall.

EDIT: Though I do agree with SuperT on some points. It's silly that Rachel is made out to be the greatest female singer of the group when Mercedes and Tina and Santana are also pretty capable singers. Same with Finn. Artie is by far the best male vocalist of the kids, and I'd put Puck second. Then Kurt... then Finn.

What I Did For Love was better than Listen, and yeah Rachel was bad in this episode but Quinn was worse.

Yea! They have so many great voices on this show it's a shame they continually only focus strongly on two (Rachel and Finn).

Finn's voice is my favorite for the males, but Artie, Will, and Puck have awesome voices as well. As for the girls I like Rachel and Santana but Tina's voice is really annoying, I couldn't stand her singing 'Getting to Know You' and am glad it wasn't a full performance.
