I got annoyed with it 15 minutes in and when I realized it was going to be a filler episode I turned it off.

I don't think Quinn knows what she wants in a boy. She clearly has feelings for Puck that she hides. She clearly has some lingering feelings for Finn. And dating Sam sure isn't going to help her, if his character goes down the path we're expecting.

Frankly, you need to do this with every Glee episode. I've never seen you not complain about an episode. At this point you only watch for Jane Lynch so just tape it and watch only her scenes already.

I enjoyed it. Loved Stamos. Loved seeing Emma. Brittany was HILARIOUS all throughout.

Don't see how it was filler as I only consider an episode filler if it's completely pointless and does nothing to advance the plot. There was a lot of progress in multiple storylines this episode.

Next weeks promos got me a little teary. Doesn't help that I'm emotionally invested in Kurt. :o

the Kurt's dad storyline really surprised me

I would be more surprised if he hadn't just been upgraded to regular this season. I'm sure he'll be fine...... unless Ryan Murphy has some Whedonian twist planned of making a character a regular only before killing them!

I'm going to watch this episode in full tomorrow on hulu but I did catch the part where Rachel sang Hit Me Baby One More Time. It was hot.

Ahhh... A David After Dentist reference. :hehe:

Sue staring at Jacob's butt print just made my night.

Grilled Cheesus
:hehe:

oh and Brittany was great (the character, not the singer) in this ep, DAMN that girl can dance (love the red body suit in her 'video' :hrt: ).

It's a Britney Spears sex riot.

"Hit Me Baby One More Time" = Worst.Performance.Ever, maybe even worst of the entire series.

She looked ridiculous. Moreso after Heather Morris knocked it out of the park with "Slave 4 U" & "Me Against the Music" w/ Santana.

That's a bit of an exaggeration, dont you think?

Eh, either way. It was still far from the best, so I cant fight you too much on this one.

The episode was OK.

The Madonna episode was much better. One reason is Madonna's music is much, much better (c'mon Like a Prayer or Like a Virgin vs. Toxic and I'm a Slave 4 U?).

The other thing is most of the music felt very shoehorned in. The fantasies felt very forced, as did the semi-desperate Britney Spears cameos (desperate for her, not the show).

....

With that said, it was not a terrible episode and there were a lot of things to like.

Heather Morris--wow. That girl can dance. She blew the roof off with her two numbers. Plus her hilarious one-liners. My guess is this episode went a long way to remind the male viewers there is more than Santana and Quinn to drool over. Nicely done.

The actual singing--woah. Every single Britney Spears song was approved upon. Now, again, the only Brit songs they sang that I think are half decent are Hit Me Baby One More Time and Toxic. But they were all elevated by simply superior singing (and Heather Morris is not much of a singer at all, but her voice sounds less thin in autotune than Ms. Spears').

Quinn helping Rachel--I was really happy to see this. Since previews I dreaded that they were going to needlessly revisit the Quinn/Finn drama. It didn't make sense for Quinn or Finn to want to go back to that (despite unsurprising regrets), but it was at Rachel's behest, which shows again more depth to Quinn while...

Rachel is kind of a ***** this season--I'm not complaining as a point of drama, but trying to pressure Finn to quit football, her inability to show remorse for her diva vanity last week and sending Sunshine to a crackhouse. She is really annoying. Kind of refreshing.

Jane Lynch--nailed it again.

So a so-so episode that had eye candy to make up for the mediocre to awful music.

Favorite lines:

"This looks like the room in the spaceship where I got probed."

"Rachel, your fashion sense usually looks like it could only appeal to Japanese businessmen with a very dark and unique fetish, but I like your outfit today. Yay!"

"Seriously, you have more vests than the cast of Blossum."

"Are you a cat?"

I hope we get no more jukebox episodes after this--minus Rocky Horror, of course. ;) :oldrazz:

Heather Morris really was fantastic in this episode. I guess I'm not equipped to talk about favorite characters or anything yet, 'cause this was only my second episode of the show, but she was great - she's certainly enough of a singer & dancer to go toe to toe with Spears herself, but also, everything she said was hilarious; terrific writing and perfect delivery. My two favorites: "Are you a cat?" and "It's Brittany...(b)itch."

you definitely need to check out season 1 then

i think Brittany is second only to Sue Sylvester in terms of delivering great lines
