Glee

For some from Nip/Tuck, I wouldn't mind seeing Oliver Platt as Puck's absentee father, just to see someone that looks completely the opposite of what you'd expect his dad to look like. Just an overweight schlub.

And Jennifer Coolidge as Britt's mom? Eh.... just seems too obvious. Make her Artie's mom, that would be more unexpected. Or, to see her interact with Sue, Becky's mom.

This show can be incredibly obvious. Everyone pretty much knew from the minute Idina Menzel was cast, she was going to be Rachel's mom, because the nearly identical looks and big Broadway style voices.

So if Coolidge got cast, she would most definitely be Britt's mom, because that's her whole shtick the dumb blonde thing.

I'd love it if the Pearce's were actually the opposite of Brittany. Have them be really intelligent, astrophysicists or something.

Amber Riley's real life mom was cast in Glee once, singing in the choir for ''Like A Prayer''. Perhaps they could cast her again as Mercede's mom. Plus, she was also in the Church in the episode ''Grilled Cheesus''.

And I think it would be great if Artie's mom was a MILF to all the boys. I don't know why...it would just seem funny.

Doesn't Artie have enough to deal with, without a plot that will likely end in Puck ****ing his mom? :(

I think that in that particular instance, the fan demand for it, combined with their similarities, might have caused too much of an uproar if it wasn't the case. As in, it was obvious and fans (and probably the showmakers as well) wanted it; therefore, they rolled with it.

I'm still a fan of whoever suggested Jennifer Lopez as Santana's mom.

But they look nothing alike.

Rose McGowan said she would like to be in Glee and so did J-Lo so ya never know...

Kudrow I could accept.

I'd be all for Lisa Kudrow as Brittany's mom, especially if she were to lead New Directions in a rousing rendition of "Smelly Cat."

From Ausiello's new spoiler website

Question: Congrats on the new site! As a late Christmas gift, I’m going to need all the info you have on the Glee Super Bowl episode, ASAP. —Stacy
Ausiello: Would you believe me if I told you that the original draft of the post-’Supe script did not include Kurt or his crush Blaine? Well, believe it. Luckily, Ryan Murphy shoehorned the pair into the high-profile episode at the 11th hour — much to the relief of one Chris Colfer. “It definitely made me a little nervous that they were having a huge episode without my character, to be sure,” Colfer confesses. “But they did squeeze us in. We’re in it for, like, a minute, but it’s a very happy minute.” The Golden Globe nominee goes on to admit that life on the Glee set has been a little “odd” since his character left McKinley High for the far more inclusive Dalton Academy. “It feels like I’m on a different show,” he says. “It’s kind of lonely to be honest, because I don’t have Amber [Riley] there with me. It’s weird. I feel like I’m a guest star.”

Question: I can’t tell how glad I am that you are back. I am going through Glee withdrawal. Do you have any scoop for us? —Bethany
Ausiello: POTENTIAL NEW COUPLE ALERT: Rumor has it the show’s Valentine’s episode will feature a flashback to Puck (Mark Saling) and Lauren’s (Ashley Fink) infamous seven minutes in heaven. And as he previously raved, it most definitely rocked his world.

Question: Glee seems to have paired up everyone except Mercedes. Is she ever going to get a boyfriend? —M.K.M
Ausiello: Not in the near future. In fact, there’s a scene in Valentine’s episode where Mercedes gives Rachel a big speech about the advantages of being single. Apparently, while all of her peers were knee-deep in romance drama, Mercedes was focusing on herself. (Funny story: That’s what I told my friends in high school too. OK, sad story.)

Question: Will Finn and Rachel get back together in Glee‘s V-Day episode? —Amanda
Ausiello: Um, no. Finn actually has his eye on someone else. I’ve said too much!

So I'm guessing the rumored Finn/Quinn reunion might be happening....

While my personal favorite episodes tend to be Kurt-centric, I realize that not everyone is a fan, so I'm glad they've been taking a break from him.

I like Kurt just fine, but I do like it when the show focuses more on the ensemble as a whole than making it the Kurt Hummel show. I mean, I get that the bullying plotline is at the forefront this season, like the pregnancy was last year, but I feel like the writers have been focusing waaaay more on Kurt than they did on Quinn (who, quite honestly, faded into the scenery quite alot last year).

If Kurt has the central storyline I prefer it be with his Dad, I think they share the best scenes on the show from a drama standpoint.

If they got Lisa as her mom then I would have to demand a Smelly Cat tribute of some sort.
