Could y'all see the scenes that were taking place at night clearly?

I got goosebumps the entire end of the film. From the minute the halo jump began, the music. I knew oh **** here we go. It was perfection.

Neither did I. Have no clue what people are talking about with this, either.

I watched the movie while in the second row...and it was kinda hard...but I was up close for one.

Even though I thought the movie was only okay, I want to see it again lol.

Yep. There are a few scenes where they are kinda obscured by dust and smoke, but it makes those scenes work far better.

No, thanks to Rodan, we just had a flying monster another would be redundant. King Ghidrah or Destroyah or Mecha-Godzilla would be good, or another original monster. I seen this again today, and still not sure about the quick editing of the monster fights. Couple of things I noticed this time around; the 'Mothra' on the fish tank or whatever it was, and the whole; Godzilla king of the monsters, Savior of our City' on the Jumbotron in the stadium. Not sure I liked that, didn't make sense or at least I guess it felt cheesy.
Any other 'Easter Eggs' that anyone noticed?

King Ghidorah is a flying monster too....

Wow, what a let-down this film was. It was so disappointing.

- Terribly boring for 3.95/4 of the film. The characters, including Cranston, were so boring and bland it made the film move at an absolute snail's pace.

-The plot was stupid filled with boring stupid characters, who were either poorly or averagely acted.

- I'm all for holding off on showing Godzilla, but this was taking it way too far. We aren't here to watch poorly acted reaction shows to news footage.

- Aaron Johnson's character was worse than Hunam's character in Pacific Rim and that's quite a feat.

- Even the final fight was a let-down for me. Shrouded in darkness and dust and I just didn't care enough by that point.

- The score was beyond awful, it gave me a headache.

- Godzilla looked great, so that was a plus. The action scenes were a let-down though, there wasn't nearly enough of Godzilla in this movie.

- The people jumping on those of us criticizing this film for having poor attention spans are ridiculous. My attention span is fine, but after an hour of bad acting and a boring story, you start to lose me.

- First movie I haven't liked at all this summer and after such amazing trailers, it was even more of a shocker.

- 4/10.

"Damn, that was boring." Is what would go on the back of my Blu Ray copy of this movie. Which would be titled the "Aaron Taylor Johnson stares blankly experience"

Well, Aaron was a Marine and had some issues, so him being a bit wooden is what the character...is how that character is written.

But I can see how you feel. While I give it a 7/10 and want to see it again, a sequel needs more Godzilla.

A bit wooden? His face had the emotion of this apple I'm eating.

Whatever, I'm over it, I don't like arguing a subjective thing. I hated the film and found it a snooze-fest.

I love the film the way it is, but I love extended cuts too so I'd totally buy it.

I can think of two extended scenes and a deleted scene that should be on there or in a EC/DC. Based off what was in the trailers/tv spots and what wasn't in the film.

Either way doesn't matter to me. I will buy it regardless. Love extended cuts though so if they do I'm for it.

:yay: may I please make this a quote in my sig. What a line, what a diss, :woot:

Sadly, I agree with most of this.

The final fight -
Godzilla spends most of his time on the ground down and out, outmatched by the two MUTOs. Without the atomic breath, he would've been at a bigger disadvantage.

Yeah he was either swimming, walking or getting his butt whipped most of the time in this film

That's a cop-out. He wasn't wooden when he and Cranston were talking about his mother after he bailed him out of jail. After that, the screenplay really gave him nothing to work with.

Indeed. It was funny when "let them fight" was uttered. I was thinking the same thing for a solid chunk of the film. :funny:

I enjoyed it, but there was nowhere near enough sufficient screen time for Godzilla, IMO. I think the MUTOs got more screen time than he did. But the payoff for the final fight was fantastic. I'm looking forward to the sequels. I'll be happy if we just get to Ghidorah. With the exception of maybe Watanabe, I don't think any of the cast needs to return. I found myself not really caring about any of the characters in this. Cranston was the best out of all of them.[BLACKOUT] I was disappointed when his character died. [/BLACKOUT]
