Saw the footage. My oh my the month of May will be a treat.

It reminded me of old school Spielberg as well as Godzilla 1985 with the shot of his feet and the camera working up finally to reveal his head.

Minor complaint was that the spines and waves scene, the cgi looked unfinished. I was told this was just reused footage, Nonetheless it was still an amazing scene.

Video is still up at DailyMotion, titled Welcome Home Godzilla, just an FYI.

Include the links too, so we can properly credit the artist (if that's possible)

You have your fear, which may become reality. And, then, you have Godzilla, which IS reality.

the MUTO looks very insect or bat like.

anyone else getting an "alien" vibe from it? that is, it's origin is not from this planet.

That WonderCon footage was amazing, really reminded me of Jaws and Jurassic Park. It was incredibly so much better than modern big budget shaky cam films.

I managed to rip the scene if anyone's interested. I only found a blurry cam version though.

The theme song by Alexandra Desplat has apparently found its way online. It is reminiscent of classic monster film themes and greatly reminds me of the theme Michael Giacchino did for the end credits of Cloverfield.

That said, it isn't Akira Ifukube's theme.

Based on that design, I wonder if we'll ever see a Godzilla vs. Son of Godzilla film, where the son takes on a protector role and battles to stop his father.

It would actually be pretty cool if they have the briefest of cameos from Manila in the shortest of ways.

For example, if they have a flashback to godzilla during his prehistoric days when he had a family (including Manila) who were attacked by king ghidorah (establishing ghidorah as an arch nemesis) before the big g got buried only to be woken up millennia later by nuclear testing.

Anything more and Manila could jar jar binks the entire franchise

Got the footage DLed to my PS3, woot. It's mine! ALL MINE!

Okay I've been a long, long time lurker on the forums and the main site. But I felt that I needed to say something after what I witnessed today. By no means am I the biggest, most knowledgeable godzilla fan. But I am a big fan nonetheless. Ever since I was a knee high private eye. With all that out of the way, I seen the leaked wondercon footage, and finished or not, I don't think that I've ever been so hyped to see anything in my life. I can't flippin wait.

I only watched the end part of the footage, as i didn't want to be spoiled too much.

Looked as though the muto somewhat bowed/submitted once Godzilla walks up…

Btw, Godzilla's cankles are huge.

got to see that footage... i gotta say, so far from all the footage i have seen, that footage of Godzilla's foot coming down as we look outside of the glass windows... right now that is my favorite scene.

i dont know why, but it just screams G84 to me... maybe because of that short bambi footage that was shown before G84

Great clip, his feet look like an elephant's though.
I think thats one knock on the new design but if you think about it Godzilla needs those type of feet to support his weight. He isn't suppose to be fast just big, slow and bulky to withstand a lot of impact.

The last shot of him looks like a bear standing up and bear feet look a bit similar to Godzilla's.
