GoldenEye Discussion thread

The only thing that really bugs me about GoldenEye is the score. What a horrible, horrible score.

Goldeneye: 9/10
Brosnan Era 1/4

1/20
1. Goldeneye
2. The World is not enough
3. Tomorrow Never Dies

I have a feeling Casino Raoyale and Goldeneye (in that order) will make a very intersting double feature

Well to me Brosnan *is* the best Bond. And if it's nitpicking you wanna do, let's talk about the strings attached to the airplane in Goldfinger...

Yeah well to me Connery is the best Bond and goldfinger (the superior bond movie) was made a good 30 odd yeas before goldeneye so I'm willing to overlook any strings.

I think it's a generational thing. Cetain people will always side with Brosnan, like me, because we grew up with him as OUR Bond. It's something that cannot be helped. It just is. It's how there are certain people who would claim that Moore was the best.....hrmmm......I mean, it's just one of those camps I guess.

I do think that with Casino Royale.....and Craig.....I think we'll get more of a Sean Connery-type Bond. I mean.....if I remember correctly, Connery's Bond was one tough sonofa*****. He'd even pimp slap a chick. I really don't think Connery gets enough credit for being the hardcore-type Bond b/c he was so charming. It seems that Dalton gets all the credit for being the tough Bond. Connery, for me, really balanced both well, the charmer with the "don't-****-with-me".

So, I think Craig seems to so far....have that going for him. I mean, Brosnan's 007 could kick some ass........but he was a little heavy on the "sweet" side when you think about it.
