Why, though?

In all fairness, when push comes to shove M:I:III's action may prove to be more exciting than CASINO ROYALE's, but I don't have any reason to think it will be at this point. The action sequences in CASINO ROYALE seem terribly exciting and wowing indeed, more than any Bond film in a very, very long time.

What did M:I:III's sequences have that CASINO ROYALE's don't?


Well, you haven't really debated my points or really explained your own view, thus there hasn't been much of a discussion. I'm entirely open to debate and willing to listen, but you haven't really said a whole lot, even when I've asked you questions.

The action in MI:3 is hightend just by the fact that cruise is doing them.. personally the action in the trailer for MI:3 was amazing..i'm not saying casino royales isn't..but we have seen that all before..as with MI:3, I also think that the reason the tarler is so good (CR) is because of the music.. the stuff on it isn't that spectacular.. the music makes is spectacular don't you think?

did you also forget the Transporter 2? action is fantastic in that film.

Are you a Tom Cruise fan, then? And Daniel Craig is doing the vast majority of his own stunts, for what it's worth.

And what makes the action in the M:I 3 trailer any more impressive than the stuff in CASINO ROYALE. Tom Cruise being there doesn't count - what about the choreography and the way it's filmed is so incredibly spectacular?

No, I don't. I think the music is so-so, myself. I think the CASINO ROYALE trailer succeeds on what it shows.

I think the actual footage is very spectacular indeed, whether it's the building collapsing, Bond pistol whipping people, Bond smashing a guy into a urinal, a tanker crashing through luggage carriers, Bond leaping from one crane to another, or the Aston Martin spinning off the road.

The M:I 3 trailer I thought was boring as hell - the only thing interesting about it was Philip Seymour Hoffman and that shot of Cruise hitting the car; the rest of it just looked like nothing new or interesting. Thankfully the movie was better than that, but it still suffered from a lack of truly spectacular action and a lack of any story. And the fact that Tom Cruise was in it hurt it even more, IMO.

I hated the action in that film. CGI fakery doesn't impress me. The action in the first TRANSPORTER was okay, though, but in the second one it was just unbelievable and fake.
