Grayskull: Masters of the Universe - Part 2

Skeletor's face would be ideal for mo-cap, actually. I think it might be the first time that mo-cap is used on a live actor's head but not their body.
^Actually I think Two-Face in The Dark Knight already has that trophy.

Just watched the 87 movie and was wondering about the sequel that never was. I know all the sets and costumes ended up being used in Cyborg but does anyone have any idea what the story was about?

I'd be more interested seeing Viggo play Skeletor than Randor. But like I said earlier, Michael Sheen is my #1 pick for the old bonehead.

As for Dolph, I'd prefer him to play King Grayskull

And Kevin Sorbo would be my pick for Randor.

Everything about this casting is PERFECT !!! And you have to have the transformation from Adam to He-Man. Hearing Adam yell out " By the Power of Grayskull !! I have the POWER !!!" On screen for the first time would give me goose bumps and have me as giddy as a school boy.

Rumor has it that He-Man may have come back to Earth and posed as an NFL player or some such.

Some ideas I had. I'm sure people will disagree with a few of these (or all of them) but I think these actors could pull it off. I tried to go with actors who probably don't demand a massive paycheck and therefore might be open to a film like this (which I think we all admit could turn out horribly if it's in the wrong hands).

Rows, in your cast, Queen Marlena, the Sorceress and Evil-Lyn are each way more beautiful than Teela. That's just incorrect, man. :hehe:

Really? I think Righetti is smokin' hot. I also think she looks like she could kick ass convincingly. That's why casting Teela is somewhat difficult... she needs to look like the most beautiful woman on the planet but also someone who could take on 10 guys in a fight.

I tend to skew younger when casting Teela because I want her to be around the same age as Adam, who I also skew younger.

I'd rather they do away with the whole Adam/He-Man secret identity thing. It always seemed silly and pointless to me.

I give 4-to-1 odds that the actress they pick for Teela isn't a natural redhead. :whatever:

That said, Righetti is an excellent pick for Teela as I also mentioned.

And Rows, nice picks. I did post my preferable picks earlier but I'm down with your ones too!

Yeah, probably not, but does it matter? I mean, Emma Stone and Christina Hendricks aren't natural redheads, and yet the look is AWESOME on both of them.

Thanks! Yeah, I forgot to mention it, but your post was what got me on board with Righetti. I probably wouldn't have thought of her if you hadn't mentioned it. But she'd be perfect... she's got the look and she's really good on The Mentalist.

I'm telling you now, with the way Mattel is pushing it constantly in the classics toyline and the new dc comic teela will be blonde

I dont want Dolph anywhere near this and why would anyone. He's a god awful actor and was terrible in the first one

Doing Skeletor's face the same way they did Two-Face's in TDK – mixing make-up and mo-cap CGI – would be awesome!

Agreed. There were many, MANY reasons why that movie sucked but he ranks among the top 5. He's so upstaged by Langella it's hilarious.

These seem like fine choices, Skarsgard and Ormond in particular.

A 5 time Oscar winner would have been upstaged by Langella in that film, given how little screen time was actually dedicated to He-Man.

Dolph Lundgren Up For An Appearance In The MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE Reboot

When asked if he would be interested in a role in Sony Pictures' planned reboot of Masters Of The Universe, former He-Man Dolph Lundren says that he wouldn't mind making an appearance (possibly as King Randor).

Paul Romano said:
Speaking with IGN while promoting The Expendables 2, Dolph Lundgren whttp://www.**************.com/profiles/?u=PaulRomas asked if he would be interested in appearing in the new Masters Of The Universe movie. The actor starred as He-Man in the 1987 adaptation of Mattel's popular toy line and animated series. While clearly not interested in reprising the He-Man role, Lundgren expressed interest in making some sort of appearance in the new film, possibly as King Randor (He-Man/Prince Adam's father and ruler of Eternia).

"Yeah, I think it's a good idea. I thought He-Man was a cool character, and I had fun doing it. I wouldn't wanna take my shirt off again for three months, wearing diapers [loincloth]. So I'd rather play the King. But yeah, good idea. Y'know, all of these old superheroes are coming back, and I'm sure that's one that people could enjoy."

Can Hollywood finally get Masters of the Universe right?
