He directed the movie cronosred clearly they didn't have enough faith in the product he delivered to move forward as planned.

For what it's worth, someone on CBM posted a list of the top five actors who could play He-Man and they listed Hunnam as #1. They also listed that Jai Courtney dude from Spartacus and the new Die Hard movie. He might be good too, even if he does have a sissy name.

But how do we know the problem is with his directing and not with the script?

God I hope Channing Tatum doesn't play He-Man.

Man he's the director, he's got to take some responsibility for all that sorry.

At this point I think one of the only few choices fans would accept as He-Man is Chris Hemsworth who probably wouldn't even do it as he's committed to doing the Thor movies, Avengers, and alread did Huntsman. Now that he has Thor he will probably want to do some other more dramatic roles in the interim.

So should He-Man to wear his usual costume in this still mythical reboot film - or lack thereof :cwink: - or should he go for something more like this -

I think they should stick with his usual costume. John Carter's costume was similar and people didn't seem to have a problem with it.

People didn't seem to have much of anything with John Carter ;) .

I really wish they would put this in the movie :D

"Skeletor phone King Randor"

"Skeletor dissing Evil-Lynn"

"Skeletor says Wat?"

There are a lot of great looking fan redesigns that add more heft to the harness and maybe some shoulder armor (which the '87 movie had too). I personally like this one:
Anyone else find it a little weird that He-Man's duds show more skin than She-Ra's?

In the bold - That is strange.

That Rubus art is nice.

Of course they do.

But I mean, after XXX and Fast and Furious Hollywood thought Vin Diesel was like the next Tom Cruise and that didn't work out very well. In fact, I think Vin Diesel was bordering on obscurit before his career was saved by Fast and Furious.

The Rock on his own has never been a draw either. And I like the Rock but I hope he never plays He-Man.

I can't see the Rock playing He-Man, but I can definately see him playing Zodac.

Not sure if it was ever true but, Was there ever a draft of Justin Marks script of grayskull 2007 online for download? if so can it still be got?

They hire that Jon Chu guy just because they don't care about a good story or so, they just want to get the film made and released. Then they think the fans are pleased.

Either one as Zodak(c) would be cool, but Zodak(c) really seems more like a second-movie or third-movie character.

Yeah, Zodak seems to have a different bag in every iteration of the series. I wouldn't even know what to do with him if I were writing the script.

The 2002 re-imagining of the character is my preference.

Justin Beber is Prince Adam in Jon Chu's STEP UP HE-MAN!

DOLPH LUNDGREN WANTS CHARMING POTATO TO PLAY HE-MAN.

Okay, to be fair, he said he doesn't really know many young actors and was just naming someone who is pretty bulked up (and to Mr. Potato's credit, I can't deny that the dude is jacked). And when asked about the possibility of Hemsworth playing He-Man, Dolph threw his full support behind that idea.

Still, come on, Dolph! We don't need anyone putting ideas in the heads of the brilliant studio executives who have already let guys like Channing Tatum run some of our other childhood heroes into the ground! I mean, look at how bad he was when he played Duke! Can you imagine how he would play He-Man? He'd probably just be another version of Tatum's half-asleep Duke character, only wearing a loincloth and sporting the worst attempt at an English accent you've ever heard. Keep him far, far away from this.

It came out this week that there might be a new "Masters of the Universe" movie. Who would you pick to take over as He-Man?
Well, let's see. You need somebody who's well built and charming, I suppose. And he can deliver a couple of lines of dialogue, I guess more than I had [laughs]. I mean, Channing Tatum? I don't know. I don't know that many young actors. But he's got a pretty good body. He's got a naturally athletic body which you need, unless you make the guy wear a suit, like Batman. But if you need real muscles, you need somebody who is built.

What about Chris Hemsworth?
Yeah! That's a good idea. That's a cool idea, yeah.

So you're on board?
I'm on board. I second that opinion.

Maybe I'm in the extreme minority here, but it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for me if Channing Tatum played He-man.
