Grayskull: Masters of the Universe - Part 2

I think I'd be okay if Prince Adam became He-Man...and his deeds weren't neccessarily known until the end of the film. Maybe He-Man fights away from his home, and he's more of a "legend" to the King and Queen and so forth (assuming they survive Skeletor).

The medieval/sword & sorcery elements always seemed more dominant, kind of the reverse of Star Wars. But He-Man and his friends seemed to rely more on technology while Skeletor preferred using magic.
Exactly. But what if the only tech being used is what's common today (surely our kind of weapons, vechlies and radar tech would have been very futuristic during medieval times).
Our do you want lazer weapons and stuff, as in the original series?

The majority of your casting suggestions are good.
But I don't want the Jar Jar Binks voice for Orko. I rather have Jonathan Taylor Thomas. He has a very special, nasal voice that would suit the character. But some people in the past suggested Verne Troyer. LOL, what makes him so perfect for the voice? His physical stature?
Ram Man should not be a tall guy. He has to be shorter than the rest, but a little taller than Gimli height of course.
Adam should be younger. A teen boy with no masculine features at all.

The animated Tri-Klops pic is the best I've ever seen of the character. He's truly bad-ass. I guess Man-At-Arms would have trouble fighting him.

And Trap-Jaw. I'm breathless. He looks like a cursed monster, and that could be the way to portray him. Your pic make me think of a photo-realistic motion capture version of the more adult kind (that means NO cartoony "Jim Carrey as Scrooge" crap).

Well in the original MOTU he was short, but goofy looking. I think they should go with the Ram Man in the 2003, who was big and burly like Juggernaut.

At the present moment I'm more for doing away with the transformation completely, though.

The 1987 film did away with the transformation and some believe that decision was one of many things that hurt the film at the box office.

It didn't help that the movie wasn't really about He-Man and his friends.

A Masters of the Universe film without a Adam/He-Man transformation, is like a 007 film without James Bond Theme.

In Filmation series as well as a majority of the different versions from the comic books, Ram Man IS a shorter guy.
So logically, he has to be the same here.
But don't judge his body height. He's still raw power. I think he's one of the most powerful good warriors. Top-5 maybe?

I think in the original MOTU mini-comics Ram-Man was a giant, which is what his 2002 self was loosely based on.

What it ultimately boils down to in a film, however, is what works best from a practicality stand point for bringing Ram-Man to cinematic life.

No, he wasn't a GIANT. He was just a normal-sized warrior.

From the director of 'Step Up 3D' and 'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never'? No thanks.

Guess he's the 80s cartoon guy now.

Also J. Biebs as Prince Adam! :awesome:

Okay, he wasn't a giant. What they do with him in the film still depends on whether they want to spend the money to make him a giant, a dwarf or just just have him be a reasonably tall, muscular guy like He-Man.

Please... no Hemsworth. I like the guy, but come on. If he takes one more "chosen warrior" role, he'll be Orlando Bloom with triceps. Let's find someone else who hasn't already played two characters that look and act a lot like He-Man.

I understand that, but if Chu is as bad as we're all afraid he is (I honestly don't know, but the rumors that GI Joe 2 tested REALLY poorly are cause for concern), then it won't matter how good the actor is. Hemsworth's talent wasn't enough to save Snow White from being a pile of dull crap.

I think we all know who's going to be He-Man and his name rhymes with Bhanning Gatum.

How come its only me people go after for suggesting Spencer as Adam?

When I did cast him (and that was some time ago) I had this image in my mind where Adam was not necessarily a teenager but someone who can actually look like my He Man actor (which was Skarsgaard) if he grew muscles. I wasn't wishing on making it a Captain Marvel type transformation.

Which brings me to... What's wrong with Skarsgaard?

Honestly, since Hemsworth is doing Thor, I do like another actor taking up He-Man.

Not to mention Hemsworth's contract for Thor and Avengers sequels may prohibit him from undertaking more big sci-fi-fantasy franchises.

I'm just happy there's finally word of a live-action He-Man movie in the works. Just wish I could know if Cho can handle this or not... I would, if G.I. Joe hadn't been delayed.

i know for a fact that if that happens he-fans and she-ravers as some call us, will riot.

this film is gonna have a hard enough time trying to get a focus with a property thats had nearly as many revamps and retcons than the transformers franchise

Subscribe, and the transformation from Adam to He-Man is unesscary because I always summed He-Man was who Adam would grow up into.
